Scrapbook How To

This page will be about my techniques and ideas I have found that has helped me to scrapbook albums. Here will be some How To ideas, that you may find handy to use. Today, anyone can scrapbook. There are no barriers in regards to age, gender or origin. You can also be part of clubs, social meetings, workshops and getaways, This is the lifestyle you can enjoy.
Scrapbooking is a great way to have your photo's tell a story and be remembered by generations.

An overview

Well this means that from just a plain photo either sitting in a box or an old photo album, you can create a finished project that tells a story and expresses the image of the photo. This can be done either by making an album, making a canvas, or simply placing the photo in a decorated frame. There are so many great ideas that you can create, it is only your imagination that will stop you from making a great feature with your photo's.

Materials you'll need

A few Materials that you will need to get started are: Photo's ( Very important), cutting mat, cutter/cutting knife, scissors, ruler, glue, photo mounting stickers/ adhesives, paper, cardstock, album, stamps/ paints, embellishments, ribbons, stickers

Step 1:

Well first you need photo's! A great way to be organized is to have your photo's in categories such as Holidays, Weddings, Birthday, Christmas, Travel etc. You can file the photo's into boxes or containers in their categories, which will make them so much easier to find when you are ready to start.
Once you have a theme picked out for your project, it is onto the next step.

Step 2:

Now this step is to have your cutting mat in front of you, with glue, photo mounts, ruler, scissors and cutter ready. Make sure you have good space to work in. Once you have these in place it is down to business.
Have the cardstock for background, and paper for decorating front. Now all you have to do is design the layout that best suits the photo's you are using.

Step 3:

Next step is to have fun!!! Cutting, gluing, stamping, and bringing your photo's to life telling a story.
There are so many layouts, designs etc, they are never ending. You can have 1- 5/6 photo's to a page, depending on your design you have. Just remember that you want the photo to stand out, this is the focus of your what you are creating.
