Secrets of the Millionaire Mind will have you thinking. In fact, this book by T. Harv Eker might make you feel like you are sitting on a couch in a dim office, spilling your soul to a complete stranger who makes $200 an hour. At least that's what I thought I would feel after the first couple of pages. Things changed in a hurry. Harv claims that he needs only five minutes to predict your financial future. In reality, he only needed five minutes to have me completely captivated.

We Are Programmed To Be Either Rich Or Poor...

Harv, who is also the founder of Peak Potentials Training, wastes no time in telling you why you are or are not a millionaire. He spends a lot of time on our financial blueprint, telling us why we think the way we do. Fear not, the message isn't lost in a convoluted metaphor involving engineering and architecture. Harv's message is simple: we have been programmed from early on to be either rich or poor, and that "by ourselves, we can never see what's holding us back from reaching our full potential." Hence the session on the proverbial couch to open our mind and start from scratch.

Changes Begin Each Time You Open The Book...

Even if there is value in opening your mind to get a clean start, it still seems like it is an agonizingly long process that will never end. The beauty of this book, however, is that you start seeing results right away. The beauty of changing your mind is that it takes very little equipment or expense to make it happen. It's not like losing weight where you struggle for months to see a difference of a few pounds on the scale. Changes begin each time you open the book and read the words of T. Harv Eker.

Million Dollar Advice At A Fraction Of Its Value...

There is some soft-sell marketing to wade through while you read this book. It comes with two free tickets to Harv's seminar, the Millionaire Mind Intensive (from October 2008 it will be $97). It may appear that this is nothing more than a ploy to sell more products to a captive customer. That may be true, but so what? You are getting million dollar advice, literally, at a fraction of its value. The Millionaire Mind Intensive helps solidify the things you learn in reading Harv's book. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind is not a step by step guide on how to make money, it is designed to motivate and inspire change in your psychological attitude towards money and happiness.

Prepare To Be Changed...

Pull up a chair, or a couch, and prepare to be changed. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind is therapy for the stress, disappointment, or failure of your finances. It took five minutes to evaluate my financial blueprint, and my new financial freedom will hopefully last a lifetime. At least I have a new game plan, one that will let me think like a millionaire, and very soon, become one.

Rubbish. You can't just read a book and expect to get rich. Doesn't matter how positive you think, or reset your mind or whatever if you don't have a certain amount of luck you will stay poor.

I have met lots of people with a terrific mindset who never make any money - something always comes up to keep them in the poorhouse. And I have met some real a*holes who are richer than Creosus.

They never pay their bills on time, always screw the last penny and generally are not pleasant to do business with. Do they read books like this? Maybe, but if they do then they use the material in the wrong way as far as I am concerned.

I have read a lot of these types of books - my library is full of them. I am not so sure that we are programmed to be rich or poor as stated, because there are many examples of people who have had a poor up bringing and being surrounded by poor thinkers who have succeeded wildly. This particular book brings a couple of new things to the table which I didn't know before.

It also reminded me of a lot of things I had read before but not put into action yet. So from that viewpoint I think it was worth the money and time to read because it is helping me to keep moving forward with my life in a positive way.

I thought this could be a overly priced book but with $20 price tag, it seems to be very reasonable. Need to order one to see how it goes
