Sonic the Hedgehog Game

This is the first of many games starring Sega's premier rodent, Sonic, The Hedgehog. In the game, Sonic has to prevent Doctor Robotnik from collecting six of the Chaos Emeralds in an attempt to rule South Island. He must traverse six "zones", each comprised of three stages or "acts", until he confronts Robotnik for the last time in the Final Zone.

The gameplay centers around elements that exploit the increased performance of the 16-bit console over its 8-bit forebears. It is notable for being both simplistic and engaging for players.

At the time of its release, Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the fastest platformers that had yet been released. Sonic could run, jump and roll at significantly higher speeds than most platformers of the time. Unlike other platformers, the game's levels were designed to encourage the player to progress quickly. Springs, slopes, high falls and loop-de-loops were all available to both boost and challenge the player to reach high speeds. This was all accomplished without any slowdown in framerates, adding to the experience.

Streets of Rage

Ahh, Streets of Rage, another Sega Classic, this game was one of the best. The graphics were splendid at the time, the soundtrack was awesome and you got to put a massive beatdown on the bad guys, basically no other home game rivaled it except for Sonic the Hedgehog.
Axel Stone
What was once a happy, peaceful, productive city, full of life and activity, has fallen into the hands of a secret criminal syndicate. The leader of the syndicate has somehow managed to keep his identity a secret. The organization soon absorbed the city government (anyone can be had if the price is right). They even had the metropolitan police force in their back pocket. Looting, random violence and destruction are rampant. No one is safe walking the streets, day or night...
Adam Hunter
As the chaos continued at full strength, three young police officers tried to establish a special attack unit. They were repeatedly turned down by their superiors, most of who had been bought by the organisation or were too afraid to make a stand. One day, when they could no longer stand by and watch their city being demolished, they quit the force!
Blaze Fielding
Adam Hunter, Axel Stone and Blaze Fielding decided to forego their careers in legal law enforcement and put their lives on the line. They are without weapons, but each possesses great hand-to-hand combat abilities. Take them into the heart of the city and battle the most dangerous wave of bad dudes and chicks ever assembled. Make the city a place where people no longer have to walk the Streets of Rage!

Rocket Knight Adventures

This is one of segas best game this game is a very good game with your mighty rocketrang and jetpack you off to rescue the princess from the evil Dr.warthog.Rocket Knight has great action intense gameplay and is a fun game overall.

Rocket Knight Adventures is based in a world called Erehwon (also pronounced as Elhorn), a world of warriors, magic and machinery. Within this world is a kingdom known as Zebulos. Zebulos has a turbulent history, the area being part of a great war. During the reign of El Zebulos, the kingdom's first monarch, a group of invaders arrived in the country bent on the destruction of El Zebulos and his clan. They sailed a powerful, evil ship known as the "Pig Star". If it were not for the determination and courage of El Zebulos and his kingdom, their strong opponents would have easily crushed the peaceful land and its inhabitants. The invaders were defeated and the Pig Star was placed under a magical seal to prevent it from falling back into enemy hands. The seal can only be removed using the "Key to the Seal" which has been heavily guarded by Zebulos and his royal family to this day.

To acquire the key would give the bearer the power to unlock the Pig Star and its potential to destroy whole worlds. To prevent this possibility from occurring, an elite fighting force was formed known as the Rocket Knights, heavily armoured warriors who use rocket packs and energy-projecting swords to protect and serve the kingdom and its people. The current leader of the Rocket Knights is Sparkster, who came to power after the Rocket Knight master Mifune Sanjulo was killed by a corrupted Black Knight called Axel Gear. Sparkster exchanged in a fierce battle with Axel and banished the murderer from the land.

The kingdom has come under threat again, this time from the nearby Devotindos Empire. They have used huge robots and a massive army in their attack, which has left the Zebulan army at near-defeat. Sparkster, fearing the worst, heads to the Castle Zebulan to find that the Princess has been kidnapped by Axel Gear! He plans to use the princess as blackmail against the King to obtain the Key to the Seal. However, Axel doesn't know that the Princess is the only remaining royal family member who knows the location of the key.

Golden Axe

You family is dead and your entire village is in ruins. There's only one creature evil enough to slaughter and destroy an entire town of innocent civilians, the Death Adder. In Golden Axe, its up to you to exact revenge rid the world of one of the most vile and heinous beings to ever walk the planet. As either Gilius Thunderhead or Tyris Flare, you'll journey through a world full of dragons, undead skeletons, and brutal barbarians as you seek out Death Adder. Utilize your impressive axe skills or your mastery of magic to destroy any foe that dares to challenge you, and enlist the help of several animal friends that will make you an unstoppable force. Whether youre alone or with a friend, Death Adder must pay the consequences.

There are two modes of play in Golden Axe: Arcade mode and Battle mode. Arcade mode pits you against the minions of the evil Dark Adder in numerous levels. This mode is identical to the arcade game, you go through numerous levels vanquishing enemies of various types. You can use magic to aid you, or you can just beat the crap out of everyone ala-Streets of Rage or Final Fight. This mode is a blast to play and is simple, mindless fun. Battle mode is a rather unique (for it's time) one-on-one fighting mode pitting you against one of Dark Adder's many minions.

The character designs were pretty cool for their time (hey, who can't love a game with an elf in it?), and they were all packed with details, and rather large in stature. Even the enemies in the game have tons of details, you'll be able to distinguish snouts on some of the enemies, as well as mouths. The in-game environments were beautiful, all of them featured a unique look and feel that set them apart from the rest, and they were all full of tiny details that added to the level.

The music fits the game's mythological theme perfectly, all of the songs have a heroic sound to them. The sound effects are, for the most part excellent.

Altered Beast

You have been summoned from your grave by Zeus, king of the Olympians, to resuce his kidnapped daughter."Welcome to your doom!" Anyone familiar with this arcade classic will instantly recognize that as the greeting you receive when you start a game of Altered Beast.

Venture back to a time when gods ruled the Earth and gladiators fought for their honor. You've been recruited by Zeus to rescue Athena, and you'll have to make your way through five levels of the evil Underworld to save her. Your perilous journey will take you through spooky graveyards, dark forests, and dank caves, populated by the nastiest zombies, dragons, and mutant pigs you'll ever want to meet.

Luckily, you have the ability to transform into savage beasts that make you even more powerful than in your human form. Your powers increase when you destroy certain enemies and take their energy; once you achieve a certain energy level, you can alter your shape into that of a beast, with additional abilities. Whether you're the Werewolf, the Weredragon, or the Weretiger, you'll gain special abilities as each beast that will make you an unstoppable machine.

At the end of each level is a "boss" monster that you must defeat to travel to the next area.

Destroy all enemies to rescue the fair maiden. Zeus is counting on you don't let him down.

Ninja Gaiden

Ninja Gaiden is also know as Ninja Ryukenden Tomoe - original Japanese name.

In Ninja Gaiden, you play Ryu, a powerful ninja whose father has been killed.

Ryu sets out to kill the boss who killed his father, taking out hordes of the evil one's underlings along the way.

To succeed, Ryu must battle through six American cities, punching and kicking opponents who appear both in front and behind him. Ryu's attacks consist mainly of punches and kicks, but there are several other attacks in his repertoire:

* The Overhead Grab - Consists of jumping over an opponent, grabbing them by the neck, and then tossing them;

* The "Phoenix Back Flip" - Consists of running up a wall, flipping backwards over an opponent, and then tossing them;

* The Sword Attack - An occasional hidden power-up allows Ryu to wield a ninja's blade for short periods;

* Hanging Kicks - Using the red button atop the joystick, Ryu clings to an overhead pole or lamppost and swing kicks opponents.

To progress from level to level, Ryu must wipe out all of his opponents and fight a boss character at the end of each level. The final boss appears at the end of Level 6.

Two players can play Ninja Gaiden simultaneously. Player One is always dressed in blue. Player Two is always dressed in pale red.

Hidden objects are scattered throughout the game and are revealed when phone booths, trash cans, and other fragile objects are shattered by flying bodies.

Shinobi 3 - Return of the Ninja Master

Joe Musashi returns to action, and the evil Neo Zeed is back to thwart him. A master of stealth and strategy, Musashi can jump over walls, swing on loose wires, ride a stallion, and command a jet ski in this massive adventure.

A super ninja has been cloned from Joe's cells, and has taken control of the Zeed's evil minions. With no choice but to kill them all, you'll step into Joe's shoes, using swords, ninja magic, and more to counter the death stars, chain guns, and grenades the enemies will attack you with.

Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master features roughly the same type of rock solid gameplay as the previous games in the series (walk, jump, use magic, throw shurikens, dodge obstacles), but this one introduces a variety of new moves, including a Spiderwalk maneuver for moving hand-over-hand across ceilings and a Kabekeri technique for side-to-side wall-climbing.

The title character now moves faster (especially when executing the Ninja Dash) and, depending on the level, rides a horse, pilots a jet ski, and battles his way up a very long elevator. The enemies in this game, many of which appear to be aliens or lab experiments gone wrong, are less conventional than in the first two games, and the visuals are more colorful and more detailed than ever. This is truly a fine sequel in a great series of games.

Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master have more than 25 action-packed levels in this stunning sequel, and a painfully powerful boss character guards each. Real ninja sound effects and killer graphics add to the excitement of an already impressive martial arts title.

Gunstar Heroes

The mad Colonel Red has discovered four crystals that imprison a deadly being known as GoldenSilver, and plans on unleashing it onto the population of the planet! He must be stopped! Enter%u2026 the Gunstar Heroes, Red and Blue!

The distant planet of Gunstar 9 has enjoyed a peaceful and prosperous history, so the last thing the inhabitants expected was an alien attack. And now it has happened. With the military rendered useless by the attackers, the planet is in need of some Gunstar Heroes to save the planets and prevent the total annihilation of Gunstar 9. This is where you come in, as one of two brothers, you must destroy the evil that has infiltrated your planet before it's too late. You've got a 360-degree firing radius, and you're going to need it to handle the hordes of enemies that will bombard you with all kinds of weapons and traps.

Unleash some mad blasting action onto the Colonel's army and don't let him bring GoldenSilver to life!! The fate of Gunstar-9 is in your hands!

At the start you have the choice to pick a weapon type, either Fire, Chaser, Lightning, or Standard. Each one supplies a different attack and as you progress through the levels, you'll find more. If you combine them, you'll get a new attack or getting another one of the same enhances you attack. Like Double-Fire makes an enormous flame-thrower. Fire and Chaser makes you fire attacks follow enemies. It's really fun, and there are about 14 different combinations.

First, let mesay this, Gunstar Heroes is hard, VERY hard. Mainly the bosses provide such a steep challenge you'll play over and over again (and a lack of a save system hurts, despite the fact that there are 7 levels). The only thing that bugs me about GH is the level design. It's basicaly you running through a straight direction. But the levels are creative, ranging from a level that plays like a board-game to a space shooter. It's very compelling.

Gunstar Heroes features:

You choose between Gunstars Red and Blue. Five weapons are at your disposal: force, lightning, chaser (like hunter), and fire. Two weapons can be carried simultaneously and can combined to form an even more powerful attack. While Red can run and fire at the same time, Blue must stop to shoot. This makes a huge difference in game play because certain bosses are easier to kill depending on which player you choose (and there are a lot of bosses!). In tight situations, both brothers also have distinctive close attacks. Red can perform a powerful body slam, while Blue can do both flying and drop kicks. You can also toss foes away from you and this even works on bosses!

Gunstar Heroes is a frantically paced, thoroughly entertaining game. Running, jumping, and shooting are the obvious attractions here, but players can also kick, body slam, and slide-tackle the near-constant onslaught of enemies (which include some wildly original bosses). There are just four different standard weapons (force, lightning, chaser, and fire), but any two weapons can be combined to form a high-powered attack. (For example: force plus fire equals exploding fireball.) Frenetic sounds, humor, and rich, style graphics add to the explosive gaming experience, as do mine cart and spaceship stages.

Treasure's Gunstar Heroes is a lot of things. Is an insanely fun shooter. It's the best shooter ever of 2D (and maybe even 3D!), and it is one of the best games ever made. It's a classic.

On the program you are using to play the Sega game on there are some cool feature.

1.You can save your game. For example if you are in the middle of game but, you or you have to go somewhere and you know when you turn it off you have to start all over again,Bummer!Well not any more just save the game as a save as.

2.This program has a Game Genie on it.

Help section:

Controller: Click on Options then Set Config. A new menu will pop-up, click on the tab that says controller. Do you see it says 3 button? Change that to 6 button and make sure it says keyboard. Do you see the Define button? Click it and then press whatever key on the keyboard you want to whatever button on a controller. You can set it anyway you want but I find it's easier to do it the way I do. I like to use The arrow keys as the movement, A for button A S for button B D for button C Enter for Start button Z for button X X for button Y C for button Z V for mode button That's it.
