You can listen on just about any kind of device these days making it even easier to listen to your favorite author or discover a new favorite.
In my experience, it is less time intensive to listen to a book again as opposed to reading again. Many times the second time through a book I will just the have the audio book on as background. It is amazing how many new tidbits are picked up. There are not many books that I have read two or more times but audio books I almost always do.
This is not meant to say reading is bad (it's not) but just to look to add audio as an option. Audio books have exponentially increased the amount of material I go through because of the ability to listen while I am doing many other activities.
Audio is great for many students as well, especially those that like the lecture format of learning. Listening to audio can also be a great way to pick up an additional language.
Self Help Audio books can be listened to wherever you are be it at the gym, traveling, working on your computer, or just laying on the couch.
I for one love listening and this is my preferred learning style. Give it a try if you haven't already.

My Self Help Audio Journey
The self help audio book journey for me started in 1996 when I attended a live full day seminar with several speakers, one of which was Brian Tracy. He boldly said if you buy these two sets of audio tapes you will triple your income in six months. Money back guarantee but you must listen repeatedly and take actions on what you learned.I said triple my income? That sounds pretty good so I bought the Psychology of Achievement and the Psychology of Selling for $120 and started listening. Sure enough, I went from making $3,500 a month to $10,000 a month in just 6 months. Boy was I excited and I have been sharing this wonderful information with anyone that will listen.
