An Introduction to SEO and Viral Marketing

Hi, my name is Adam, very new to Squidoo, SEO and Viral (and by very new, I mean one week!!). During the time I have been researching the subject of SEO and Viral I have seen so many work from home scams it's unreal. Being a reasonably intelligent guy (at least I think I am!) I kept on plowing through the dross, the scams, get rich quick schemes and various other promises of untold riches. You see, I know that wealth does not come easy (unless your name is Your Royal Highness, Hilton or Rothschild) and that hard work is the only way to succeed.
So I started to look around for sites where people were happy to help me, providing me with the information (for free) on what I wanted to know. You tend to find that the most passionate, knowledgable people in their field are happy to impart their wisdom to eager students. This guide is my findings and is designed to be used as a resource tool for people like me, eager to learn the ropes but very highly suspicious of the motives of most internet marketeers.
If you have seen my other squidoo guide about the subject, based just on one resource, Glen Allsopp and the brilliant site he has, ViperChill, I hope it helped you and provided the information you needed. However, after building that guide I quickly realisied that my content was too narrow, just because glen's site is the best for me, it does not mean that it is necessarily the best for everyone else. I was going to write an article on each of the great free resources I have found on SEO and Viral Marketing but to be honest, it would take too long and what's the point when I can put everything in one place? I want to not only make it easier for me, but also easier for you. Think of this page as a resource site, something to have handy when you are unsure.

The Best Seo and Viral Marketing Sites
Right, so you want to work from home, you have searched around for affiliate sites, blogs and schemes, maybe even got your fingers burned with a scam and you are sick of it. You might have even built sites to plug affiliate links but the traffic is just not there.So, what is your next move going to be? (How much does that sound like an infomercial?!!! I nearly carried on typing ''Hi my name is Adam and im here to teach you how to make millions!!!'').
Thing is though, im not, im here to provide you with various free resources, which, if you go to, digest the information on offer, decide how to use that information correctly and put in countless hours of hard work, you can make money working from home. This is not get rich quick, its not even a step by step guide, just a bunch of very useful SEO and Viral Marketing blogs and resources.
I guess by now you have had enough of listening to me waffle on, so a quick rundown of how I will set this out. Below you will find a list of links with a brief overview and my own personal experiences of the site. Choose the one you like, go there, learn, enjoy and participate, leave a comment, subscribe to their blogs, these guys are doing their very best to help people just like us, so say thank you and help their blogs and resource site grow. When you have finished with the one you like, try a different one. The most important lesson I have ever learned is that knowledge is power, if you want to succeed, research, research, research!

If you are serious about working from home, are willing to put in the work and research, check these sites out. I guarantee that you will find them of use, no matter if you are just starting out or very experienced.
- ViperChill Viral Marketing
- A great site owned and run by a very experienced, knowledgable and honest internet marketeer called Glen Allsopp. Features hints, tips and information on Business, SEO, Social Media and also features a monthly report on how ViperChill is doing. Glen is quite possibly the most transparent person in his niche and all of history is backed up with evidence, reports and interviews. I have found this site quite simply invaluable.
- Copy Blogger
- A site packed full of advice for copy writers and online marketeers. I have found this to be a great source of information, it will help with raising the standard of your writing, improve your SEO skills and also goes into the psychological ways to grab your audience's attention.
- Ramped Up Pro Blogging
- Written by Rob Sutton, a great site with plenty of resources including a FREE! ebook course to help you maximise your potential as a blogger. Covering the basics of setting up a blog and continuing all the way through. Downloaded my copy just this morning and definately looks like a well written, knowledgable resource. Kudos to Rob for making it free.
- Upgrade Reality
- A little different this one. Owned and written by Diggy, this site does not only give you advice and tips about SEO and Viral Marketing but also serves as a personal development blog. A great read, informative and makes you actually take a step back and think at the same time!
- Essential Keystrokes
- Essential Keystrokes shares tips, tools, reviews and commentary on web design, new media, marketing, blogging and related topics. I have not really had the chance to look through this one throughly but first impressions are good. Check it out.
- PluginID
- Another site that provides not only tips and information but also helps with personal development. The articles are well written and again, help you to take a step back and think about what it is your really want and how badly you want it.
- Not A Pro Blog
- A great site looking at blogging, SEO and Viral Marketing from another angle. Written by the comedian Jordan Cooper, this blog will provide stress relief and there are also quite a few nuggets of information and help contained within the site. I found this site hilarious, brilliantly done and featuring lots of video's for those of us too lazy to read!
