What is a Tribe? Am I a Tribe Leader?

I'm writing this book review because Seth Godin's Tribes was enjoyable and insightful. You may know Seth as the founder of Squidoo! His book on tribes and leadership is an essential for almost any library. The idea of Tribes is very important. You can see the motion of tribes if you look around. Your tribe will become more important than your nationality eventually.

My Review

Seth Godin's newest book Tribes was given to me, rather randomly from a friend on Twitter. Tony Steward was so impressed with the book that he gave away 3 copies!

I was lucky enough to receive one of those. I was also very impressed with the book, and will be passing it on to a friend soon.

In Tribes Seth takes us through the stories of many innovative leaders and pushes us into a direction to make change. Any marketing or business consultant should have this book. It really is the new way of the world. People will unite in tribes.

Before reading the book, I was moving along this thought line. At my blog, Loki Listens, I'd been doing a philosophy series asking people to think and develop their inner leader(or as I call it, Shaman). Seth's book really backed up the ideas that I had been mulling over for some time. Ideas on how each of us can really make a change.

Janet Lentz says:

Tribes was helpful because it helped me to see that if I want things to change, I have to change them, lead the change, and actively recruit other change agents to help me. Thank you Seth!

Dr. Wright says:

Yes, because he showed us how to do it if we choose to.

After reading Seth's Tribes I belive that everyone can change the world by doing the one thing only - to lead. The more leaders the less dictators.
