8 Hours of DVD (no car chases)

For a few years, people have been asking me for a DVD. One of those really expensive, really short training video type DVDs that the corporate training department buys.

I've resisted, for a number of reasons. I didn't want to try to make a movie and not make a great movie, mostly.

When I was preparing to go on the road with my all-new presentation about The Dip, I realized that it would make sense to take my tried and true presentation about the 8 books that preceded it and record it for posterity.

Then I was on a roll. So I added in an interview with Charlie Rose and then, for good measure, 6 hours or so of Q&A in a live seminar in NY. This page is devoted to that set and what you might want to know about it.

It's not for everyone

Please read this part before ordering

Here's how I see the availability and value curve of my work:

FREE...My lenses, my ebooks, my blog, some YouTube stuff.

$15...each of my ten books, give or take.

$25,000... a seminar in NYC (including $1k for travel).

$$$... a live event at your office. But I'm hardly doing any outside of NY.

You know what? Most of my readers take the free option, which is just fine with me. It doesn't cost me anything on the increment, and it's my pleasure.

Others benefit from the printed or audio books. I think they deliver a more concentrated message than the free stuff.

Organizations tend to get a lot out of my live events, mostly, I think, because local energy can cause better discussions and more change.

You probably see the gap: people who want something visual and detailed and powerful but can't swing the trip (or I won't come to them.) Hence this product.

I'm nervous though. It's not a movie. See the samples below... the goal is to lay out an overview of how to put these ideas to work, not to put on a fancy show. Bob Redford and Paul Newman each refused to appear. The Q&A session is verite... you see what the audience saw.

What I'm hoping to hear after you see this is: "by the time I got to the third DVD, I knew exactly what you were going to say next." That's a win, because if you know what's next, I've done my job.

CONTENTS:
Disk 1, part I: Live seminar from Denver. Includes my slides and my talk. Covers clutter, death of the TV Industrial complex, rise of competence, Rita's free prize, the Purple Cow, the ideavirus, flipping the funnel and the Hallmark story.

Part II: Conversation with Charlie Rose about the future of advertising.

Disks 2, 3 and 4: Single camera unedited shoot of six hours of Q&A with 50 seminar attendees about a wide variety of businesses from big to small. We review web site design, the Fez, business models, pricing, business to business and more.

Pricing and how to buy

The DVDs cost $800. Shipping is included anywhere in the world. I only produced twice as many as I received advanced orders for, and after those are gone, I have no idea when (or if) there will be more.

You can have two for $1500 and three sets for $2000.

They will ship by December 15th.

With your purchase you get the right to re-sell the set, but not to post any of the content online or to show it to a group of more than 30 at once.

There's no ship and bill option, no previews, no rolling credit terms. That's because, as usual, I'm doing this myself and not adding many levels of interference and overhead to insulate us from each other.

If it's not exactly as I described it, tell me why and I'll happily refund your payment. (and I'll change my description!)

Use the details below for ordering.

So, I'm wondering if that boxed set is heavier than a 3 pound box of chocolates? Thanks so much for being on board the traveling squid. Sure did enjoy the guestbook comment -- totally unexpected -- but TU can be good every once in a while. Today I did need a good laugh and you helped put a smile on my face. Thank you for everything.

The number one message I have extracted so far (1 DVD in) is that you have to have a compelling story, its not enough to be in the average place anymore. Story-telling is where its at. Meetup.com here i come (maximum 30 people a time). this has to be shared.

Awesome! Disc One is in my opinion the best one for someone who has not read any of Seth's books. Anyone who watches Disc One will be blown away by the insights - it alone it worth the price. After watching all 4 DVD's I still wanted more - great ideas - great advice and very friendly. Thanks Seth
