Shannon Brown Vertical - A Quick Biography
Shannon Brown was born November 29th, 1985 in Maywood, Illinois. He is the son of Chris and Sandra Brown. Shannon started playing basketball at an early age and was always a very athletic kid growing up. He attended Proviso East High School and in 2003 was named Mr. Illinois Basketeball and played in the McDonald's All-Star Game. During high school he was named co MVP, along with Lebron James, in the Jordan Capital Classic.Shannon continued to have success at the collegiate level as well. He majored in sociology and played three seasons for the Michigan State Spartans. He earned a spot on the All Big Ten second team and the Big Ten All Defensive team.
In 2006, Shannon Brown played his rookie season in the NBA when he was picked up by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has had a solid career and has averaged 8.1 points per game. However, what he has best been known for is his incredible vertical leap. Shannon Brown's 44.5 inch vertical has given us a lot of highlights and he has posterized several defenders.
