"They're back", -- Ghost Hunters Have Gone International...
By Sharon Stajda,
Plumbers by day --- ghost hunters by night...
I am so hooked on the show Ghost Hunters... I love the concept the ghost hunters have adopted. They set out to disprove a haunting. But in many cases they find more than they bargained for... The show consist of a team of ghost hunters, which by day all have normal jobs, and what appears to be normal lives.
The two men that created The Atlantic Paranormal Society( TAPS), Jason Haws, and Grant Wilson, were compelled to start the organization due to both having had unexplained paranormal experiences occur in their pasts. They along with their dedicated team member's, set out to various locations around the United States, with the soul purpose to scientifically investigate the haunting, and if possible debunk the haunting.
The Sci-Fi Channel produces the weekly show. Each week bring a new episode.
Tom Thayer and Craig Piligian of Pilgrim Films (American Chopper) are the executive producers of Ghost Hunters. The Sci-fi team follows the Ghost Hunters around the Country, and films each investigation, from start to finish...
The investigation includes the Ghost hunting team using sophisticated equipment to gather fool-proof evidence that a haunting is occurring.
Their equipment has on several occasions picked up very compelling evidence, that would be hard to dispute. Such evidence as clear apparitions on film footage, of what would appear to be a human form, where none should be? On many occasions they have recorded un-explainable voice phenomena.
After each investigation Grant and Jason, have a sit down with the person or persons, that invited them to research the site in question. They give an in-depth report on their findings. Along with their opinion, is the site haunted or not...
It is very clear that the Ghost Hunter's take this all very serious, and do not dramatize any given incident. They look at a haunting scientifically. Gathering data, going over the data, and coming up with their hypophysis.
I like the show, it seems very straight forward. Some shows go out of the way to dramatize, and make something out of nothing. Ghost Hunters, on the other hand. Concentrate strictly on what appears to be conclusive to the naked eye, and ear...
America's favorite paranormal plumbers, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, will deliver 13 episodes of spine-tingling investigations for the show's fourth season, set to debut in 2008. Ghost Hunters will round out its third season with six new episodes to air June 6th 2007 , and an additional six slated for debut this fall of 2007.

Brian Harnois -- He's Back
Brian Harnois was noticeably missing from the show this last season. Come to find out he was keeping himself busy traveling, shooting the spin-off "Ghost Hunters International". He is now heading up the tech department of the new globe trotting ghost hunters. Brian is one of TAPS original Technical advisors, and case managers.Brian's main responsibilities with TAPS was as Tech Manager, demoted at one point to investigator. Granted he always did seem to be in trouble for one thing or another. But I for one missed him...

Irelands Leap Castle -- Leap Castle is said to be the most haunted place in Ireland...
On Nov, 15 the Ghost Hunter's investigated Ireland Leap Castle. Which is said to be the most haunted site in all of Ireland? It was as usual a great show. They collected some very interesting voice phenomena. Plus two cast members felt as if they were touched... One falling to the ground due to the force of the touch. All and all it was a very interesting show.
Leap Castle was built in the 14 Century near the town of Birr in Ireland. During the Irish Civil war the castle was ransacked and burnt in 1922. The castle eventually passed into the ownership of the Darby Family who expanded on the central keep.
The history of the castle tells of it being used as a prison, where many hundreds of persons were executed. Its history tells of many haunted souls staying on in the castle... Many persons have seen apparitions, along with a horrible stench that accompanies the apparition. The creature is known to the locals as "It." Leap Castle is said to be the most haunted place in Ireland.
The castle is currently owned by the Irish musician Sean Ryan. He hopes to restore the old castle, to its former glory.

Some Great Flicks---
ORB'S... Just What Are They?
By Sharon Stajda,What are the balls of transparent light we find in photos taken as a rule with a digital camera? I don't actually know, and certainly won't go out on a limb and tell you I do... I don't think anyone truly has the answer to that question? At least not yet. But I must say, I have seen many photo's with these so call anomalies, and it leaves me very curious?
The leading theory for some ghost hunters is that these orbs are spirits, trying to manifest themselves. On the other hand there are as many ghost hunters that disregard the theory, and feel that orbs can be logically disproved, in most cases.
Many times orbs turn out to be dust in the air picked up by the camera. Some believe an orb is the energy being transferred from a source such as power lines, heat energy, batteries, etc. The law of physics tells one that energy being transferred in this manner would most likely assume is natural shape of a sphere.
In my own experience with photography, I for many years used a 35 mm camera. In going through my many photo's, I could not find one with a n orb. There where plenty of red eye shots. On the other hand, I now use a digital camera. In going over my digital photo's, I have discovers a vast number of "orb's". So I tend to thing the digital camera's of today pick up every little unseen speck of dust or what ever?
In closing I will have to admit, I have seen some very striking photo's with numerous orb's, that do make me wonder? I do have an open mind when it comes to orb's. I think thy certainly have a place when investigating a haunting.

I really enjoyed your Ghost Hunters lens. I love all the polls you have. I was actually surprised to see more people were not sure what they thought of orbs then the ones that thought they were spirit manifestations. Posted February 08, 2008 |

Hi, Posted October 07, 2007 |
I am facinated with the show. Their trying to disprove the "hauntings" gives the show credibility. Other programs do not go to the lengths TAPS does in the investigation to prove or disprove, just accept what they think is heard

Hi, Posted September 02, 2007 |
The show's not too bad when it's on.
What was the GH season this year, like three episodes?
Not enough new material too keep me interested, so I do most of my paranormal research myself, or online.
Wayyyyyyyyy too many GH reruns killed my interest in the show.

I know Tombstone well and there are many places they could go. But when they find something, why not leave the camera's for the next night and catch what they saw? Like the Birdcage lady??
ALSO, when is the new season for Ghost Hunters on Scifi, 2007?? BJ
