Q: How Did You Get Started Online As A Marketer?

A: I started like most do... on eBay. I bought an eBook about 'how to make money selling eBooks' and then I started to sell some resale rights products on eBay. I got pretty good at eBay and made a nice little side income (for a student, anyway) and then I got my first website which was a ready made adsense site full of reprint articles. In the last 2 years or so, that site has made me around $20. I wouldn't recommend buying ready made adsense sites, but that was a great learning curve for me. I learn't how to get a hosting account, a domain name and set the site up which stood me in good stead for setting up future websites.

Q: How Did You Feel When Your (first) Product Went On Sale Through Clickbank?

A: It wasn't so much the product going on sale that felt good - but the first sale does. Every time you create a new report in a new niche, you have worries that the product won't sell, that people won't like it, and ultimately that it would be a failure.

For my first product, I sent 6 visitors to the page and got a sale and that certainly eases the nerves. Conversions didn't stay that high, but they still remain above the industry average.

Q: What Do You Think Sets You Apart From Other Marketers?

A: My age is probably my main selling point and I used it as my unique selling proposition for my sales letter at http://www.shortreportprofits.com

Some people won't buy from me because of my age and I know that, but a lot of people still will. I initially kept my age secret until I found out about all the other fantastic marketers who are of a similar age and making it online.

A: I started teaching people how to make money, despite the fact that I'd never made any money online. A lot of people do this when they start out and I really regret it now. Once I realised I had nothing to teach, I went away and focussed in other niches. With every new niche I entered I learned more and now I have enough experience and enough first hand knowledge to be able to teach people how to make money online.

Q: What Do Your Parents Think About You Making All That Money?

A: They love it! My mum especially. When I started online I used my mum's details for my Clickbank accounts, adsense accounts and paypal accounts, so most of my checks go to her. Luckily she still gives me the money.

My parents still want me to go to university and to get a 'real' job, but by the time I finish university I'll be making so much money they won't want me to get a real job... I hope!
