Shower Accessories

Who doesn't love the feel of water cascading over them in the shower? A shower is a great start to the day and a relaxing end to the day. Due to water saving legislation most Australian showers no longer flow with an immense amount of water to drench you but that doesn't mean you can't still have a shower that you enjoy.
There are many different types of showers. Shower heads on arms can either be wall or ceiling mounted and they vary in diameter from 10cm to 40cm. The wider the shower head the better the coverage over your body.
The other most popular shower types are basic overhead wall mounted showers, showers on rail and showers on bracket. The overhead wall mounted showers are usually very simple and sleek with a flow rate of 9 litres per minute (LPM). Showers on rail and brackets are handshowers with a hose that sits in a holder on the rail or in the wall bracket. A shower on a rail can be a practical solution for those who have a number of different people of different heights using the shower (e.g. dad uses the same shower as his 10 year old son or daughter). The handshower holder can usually be quite easily slid up and down to accommodate different heights. This aspect is also fabulous for ladies (or men!) who want to have a shower but don't want to get their hair wet. Another practical advantage of a handshower with a hose is that it is much easier to clean the shower if you can hold the shower in your hand. Not only can you reach into the far corners of the shower but you can do it without soaking yourself!
It is becoming increasingly popular to install both a shower head on arm and a handshower either on bracket or rail in a single shower as people want the luxury of the water cascading over them from the overhead shower and the practical aspects of the shower with hose.
