What's in your water?
The hard truth of what's in the water you use and drink!
Fluoride, bacteria, insecticides, solvents, herbicides and chlorine. This list is not by any means comprehensive, but with this alone, you can imagine the poison that you are taking into your body every day...even you health nuts
Let's look at Chlorine
So, here's the scoop on chlorine.
While Chlorine does kill the bad guys in the swimming pool, it also kills the good guys (probiotic bacteria) which are in your intestines. So, if you're having problems with your intestines, it may be the water you're washing with. Note that since, Chlorine is a gas, when heated up (like in a hot shower) it can become toxic as you are taking your hot shower. The longer the shower, the more toxic it may be for you. Furthermore, some experts have determined that you may be consuming 5 times more chlorine when you shower than with those 8 glasses of water you are supposed to be drinking in a day.
If you have dry skin, it very well could be that your skin is reacting to chlorine and that is a major side effect.
Chlorine is so bad for you, that in world war 1 they used it as a chemical agent!
What else can it do to your body. Glad you asked, it can dry your hair out consequently your skin may be itching more. It gives an odor to your skin and hair (think about the chemical reaction going on between chlorine, shampoo, body wash/soaps, and conditioners).
For those of you with sensitive eyes, you'll notice that your eyes may be burning after you've taken a shower. This may not be because of the shampoo, but rather the chlorine in the water.
Benefits of having a Shower Filter
You'll find that your skin will have a reduction in flakes and itching. Therefore, you'll have more oils in your skin, and your skill will stay moisturized longer. Another benefit to your skin, is that it will stay softer and smother longer.
You say great, I don't have that problem. Here's one, especially if you are female that we all complain about...split ends. Did you know that the chlorine in your water may be adding to the number of trips that you make to your hair stylist? That's right, chlorine can make your hair brittle, thereby causing you to get split ends, and causing you to spend more money on maintenance. This goes for the hair color that you use too (yes ladies and gents highlights too).
For those of you who are sensitive in the eyes, skin and lungs, you may notice that the problem of red and burning eyes are eliminated with a filter.
Ok- I think you get the idea by now, this stuff is bad for you B A D!
