Washer and Dryers: Minimize the amount of times you wash clothes by making sure you have a full load of clothes before starting it. Instead of using your dryer in the warm summer months you could use a renewable energy source (it's called the wind) to dry your clothes. Hang your clothes on a clothes line outside this is a good way on how to save power at home. Use your dishwasher but turn the heat dry off. When its done washing the dishes crack the door open and let the dishes air dry.Refrigerator: Try to minimize how often you go in the fridge. When putting leftover in the fridge let them cool to room temperature first also, try to keep the fridge full, the more you have in it the less it will have to work to keep every thing cold this can help a lot in how to save power at home. And while we are on the subject of food, When taking things out of the freezer do it well in advance thawed foods don't require any where near the power to cook as when they are still frozen.
