Places,Activities, Events & Happenings in Singapore to Keep Your Kids Entertain
Singapore for Kids used to be a very long lens. I have spit this lens into 3 so that it is more focus now. Please visit Singapore School Holidays Activities for more activities and events for kids during a school holiday and Nursing/Breastfeeding Rooms in Singapore.
About me
I have written this guide from a view point of a Singaporean staying in Singapore. My guide here might be very different from a guide that is provided for a tourist. If you are adventurous enough, you may want to use my guide.
Outdoor Places for Kids
- Singapore Zoo's Rainforest Kidzworld is part of Singapore Zoo. The entrance fee to Rainforest Kidzworld is free but you will still have to pay for the main entrance fee at the main zoo.
- West Coast Park: There are sand, playground, sand, beaches, sand, more playgrounds, sand, cycling tracks, more sand, grass patches for kite flying and soccer games, and more sand.

- Pasir Ris Park: There are lots of playgrounds here. You can rent a bicycle or you can choose to build a sand castle on the beach.
- Jacob Ballas Children's Garden is Asia's first children's garden. Dedicated to all children of Singapore, it is designed to provide unique discovery and learning experiences in a garden setting. However, it is best that you print out the map provided at the website before you board a taxi. The place is quite new and most of our taxi drivers do not know how to get there. If he drop you at the main entrance of Botanic Garden, you will have to walk a long long long long long way to Jacob Ballas Children's Garden.
- Bottle Tree is not built for children, but there is a fishing pond that all kids will go crazy and out of control. For $10 (if they have not increase the price), you will get a little net and a little fish tank. They have a sign board that said you can have 5 fishes in one tank only, but nobody read the signs. The owner of Bottle Tree is also generous to let children and adult to scoop all the fishes that they want.
- Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve is a nature park with mangroves, back mangroves, secondary forest, herbs and spices garden, and freshwater pond.
- Kite Flying at Anchorvale Link on the 2 plot of empty land between Farmway and Cheng Lim LRT station. You can see a lot of kites in the evening when it is not raining on weekends.

- Wild Wild Wet is a water theme park located at the eastern side of Singapore.
- Get your kids to go for drain fishing at Qian Hu Fish Farm at 71 Jalan Lekar, Agrotechnology Park, tel: 67667087.
Opening hours: Monday to Thursday (9am to 6pm), Friday to Sunday and public holidays (9am to 7pm). Free Admission. Free shuttle buses on weekends from Choa Chu Kang bus interchange and Boon Lay (Jurong Point) MRT station. - Ride a pony at Gallop Stable. 61 Pasir Ris Green. You pay $10 for an 800m ride (only for children aged 2 and above, with a rider weight limit of 70kg) and $1 for a packet of pony feed.
Indoor Activities for Kids
- Go-Go Bambini is Singapore's favorite premium indoor children's entertainment centre offering active play in an air-conditioned environment for children aged 0-11 years. Drop in to enjoy playtime for the kids and chill-out time for Mums and Dads.

- Bambini Playclub Pte Ltd has an indoor playground with a big maze for kids aged 3-10 years. It is a good place for parents to drop their kids there while you go shopping.

- Explorer Kid has a bigger indoor playground than Bambini. Beside the big maze and several playground, you can hold birthday parties there too. There are always activities and event for the kids. Check their websites to find their latest happenings.
- The Kiddy Palace in Marina Square has display a few big toys and slide for kids to "try them on". Right outside the kid's department store, there are a few kiddies rides too. My son refuse to give anything a miss whenever he come to this place.

- Ikea Tampines has a play room. You can leave your kids there while you shop for your furniture. Their restaurant has play "things" around and there was a round play "yard" right in the middle.
- Singapore Science Centre at 15 Science Centre Road, tel: 64252500
Admission to Science Centre is $6 (adults) and $3 (children, 3 to 6 years old). - Outdoor Water and Dry Playground at IMM: You can choose to get wet or stay dry at this playground. However, there was not changing room at the playground when I last visited and you are not allow to step into the shopping mall when you are all wet. The signboard said that the wet playgrounds are for kids only, so I think they do not expect any adult to need a change.
- Outdoor Playground at Sembawang Shopping Centre: It has a cover playground and a wet playground that operate during certain time of the day.

- Atlantis City at Delta Sports Complex is similar to Explorer Kids but smaller. Their play system are designed for children to have fun physical play in a safe, clean and conducive environment. They also provide comprehensive birthday party packages to give your child an unforgettable birthday.
- LilliPutt is Singapore's first themed indoor mini golf course. Fun for the whole family and also an ideal tourist destination, LilliPutt offers a unique interactive golfing experience like no other. Whether you are a seasoned player or someone who is totally new to the game of golf, this is an indoor mini-golf adventure that promises many thrilling moments as you putt your way through 18 sensational mini golf holes - all modelled after familiar Singapore landmarks. No special skills, training or fitness level is required...just come ready for lots of fun and challenges!
- I am not sure if I should put the playground at VivoCity as an outdoor playground or an indoor playground. Anyway, most of the playground in the 2nd level are dry playground. There is a small portion of the playground that you can get wet. If you head up to the 3rd level at the Sky Park, your kids will get really wet with all that open area play pools at the size of four Olympics sized swimming pools. No swim wear is required.
- http://www.fidgets.com.sg Based at Turf City at level 2, Fidgets is Singapore's largest indoor soft play structure for children from 0-10 years, with dedicated baby and toddler play areas. With two dedicated party rooms accommodating up to 80 children and a 100 seat cafe full of the latest magazines and newspapers from around the world, we have something for everybody. All of this and 2000 parking lots add up to hassle free entertainment for all the family.
- Frisk 'n' Romp Kids Playclub, a 7,000 sqft indoor and outdoor space for kids' fun educational activities, is the only kids' PlayClub in Singapore that is overlooking the sea. We are also nestled in a gourmet hub where parents can entertain in any of the fine restaurants located in the compound of Playground @ BigSplash.
- Little O Zone at Orchid Country Club. Admission price is from $6.00 to $8.00 and it's open to public.
- SAFRA Toa Payoh also has an indoor playground. It's open to public.
- Paragon level 5, just below Toys R Us.
