But Skippy Loves Mallory
Look at him. He's adorable...the smile, the dimples. And, to top it off, he is the sweetest guy you've ever met. I would marry Skippy in a split second, but that little hussy Mallory would rather Nick. Nick?!?!?! Dumb as a rock Nick?!?! Skippy is madly in love with her, and she dismisses the very thought of him...for Nick?!?!?!

(Family Ties) Skippy or Nick ?
-
If I were Mallory, I would have totally gone for Skippy rather than Nick. Skippy was an adorable sweetheart who was head over heals in love with her and would do anything for her, whereas Nick was just dumb as a doorknob. But, what do you think? Who...
Shot down by Mallory (again)
From the episode "Fool For Love" written by Marc Lawrence
Skippy: Mallory, wait a minute. I'd like to ask you something.Mallory: What?
Skippy: Will you go with me to the homecoming dance next week?
Mallory: No, I will not go with you to the homecoming dance next week.
Skippy: Thanks for getting back to me so fast.

Nick
This is what she preferred. Even though she had a great guy like Skippy that would do anything for her...who loved her unconditionally....who continued to love her even after being shot down so rudely so many times. This is what she picked. Nick. More stupid than one could imagine, yet Nick was who Mallory chose. What is it about bad boys? I would so much rather a good guy. A nice guy...dependable and loving, not exciting and dangerous. In his heart, I think Nick was a good person...but he was no Skippy. Skippy: Fallback Guy
From Let's Go Our Separate Ways (Part 2) Written by Michael Zabawa
Mallory: Skippy, what are you doing here?Skippy: Alex told me you were breaking up with Nick.
Mallory: He did?
Skippy: Yes.
Mallory: Well. I did break up with him.
Skippy: Why were you running out though?
Mallory: I found a girl in Nick's bathroom.
[Nick runs out into the hallway]
Nick: Mallory, I can explain!
Mallory: Nick, I really don't need or want your explanation.
Nick: What does that mean?
Mallory: It means you're dumped. Skippy, take me home.
Skippy: Are you sure? Didn't you drive here yourself?
(Mallory grabs Skippy and starts kissing him)
Nick: Mal, what are you doing?
Mallory: Kissing the person that's always been there for me, no matter what.
[Frankly at this point, she doesn't deserve him.]
Ask me, Skippy!
I'd say yes.
