Skippyjon Jones
Skippyjon Jones is the first in a series of five books covering the many adventures of a small Siamese cat with ears so "beeg" he is certain that he must be a Chihuahua. Each book is chock full of colorful language and humor as Skippy ventures into his closet to meet up with his friends Los Chimichangos gang. My personal favorite book is Skippyjon Jones in Mummy Trouble, although I do love reading the other stories as well. My kids love Mummy Trouble and the new book, Skippyjon Jones Lost in Spice.Judy Schachner has an amazingly funny and playful way with words. The great thing about this series is the fact that it is as fun to read for mom and dad as it is for junior. I highly recommend it on my list of must reads for kids. It is sure to become a classic! Our family's favorite of all the Skippyjon Jones books in the series so far is Mummy Trouble. From Skippyjon reading National Leographic, to his trip to ancient Egypt to meet the Finx and King Rootin Tootin Kitten Kabootin, this book is full of laughs!
