Small Business Requires a Very Special Kind of Entrepreneurial Spirit

Small business requires passion, clear unwavering vision and intention, dedication, commitment, a positive risk taking mindset, marketing savvy and loads of energy.

You're also highly motivated and committed to your business success because you're passionate about, totally believe in, and love what you do.  It's absolutely what drives you ...

Many of us are Solopreneurs working from a Home Business Office base, or Small Business Owners with a handful of staff, and a network of outsource suppliers and joint venture business partners.

Together with our Clients and Customers, the emphasis is on relationship building, being of 'service', providing great 'value' beyond the call, and over-delivering.

Have you noticed that there's a shift in business consciousness that has been happening in recent times toward greater integrity?  An emphasis on 'serving' rather than selling, building relationships based on honesty, collaboration and generosity, and a marketing process that fits this focus.

Please enjoy my article that explores some of these principles -

"Marketing With Integrity - 11 Key Steps" (by Kathy Baker)

1.  Find your own Marketing Process that 'fits' right with YOU - your own natural Marketing process, that comes from your own integrity, and flows easily and effortlessly.

Market your Business with integrity, dignity and self-respect.  Focus on creating a marketing, 'serving', and selling process that is 'right' for you, feels good for you, and works for you - and your Clients and Customers!  An 'Inside-Out' approach that comes from your own integrity.

2.  Create a Marketing Plan, or review your existing Marketing Plan.  Make sure you commit your plan to paper - this is vitally important.  And be flexible to test what works best, update and tweak it as you go.

3.  Determine your 'Ideal' Client/Customer/Target Market, and optimize your marketing message with your target Client or Customers.  Learn 'How To' be very clear on the type of Clients or Customers you want to 'Attract'.

4.  Focus and pin-point with precision accuracy your unique special 'cut-through' service/product offering and message - your 'Unique "Serving" Proposition' ('USP') and your Positioning in the market place.

5.  Create powerful marketing by accurately 'matching' and 'synchronizing' the 'Core Benefits' you deliver with the exact message your Ideal Clients or Customers want or need to hear.   So, that they respond easily to your 'call to action'.  Then watch your client base grow at an unprecedented rate.

Please pay close attention to these words - this truly is one of the most important lessons - 'effective' marketing is offering the 'right' clients the 'right' services or products that deliver the precise benefits they want the most at the 'right' time.

6.  Put in place new Client Attraction strategies.

7.  Referral Marketing is very powerful in helping you grow your business.  Put in place an instant Client Referral Marketing system and automate it as much as possible.

Here's an example of a highly effective Automated Online Referral Marketing System based on ongoing communication and creating 'feel good' relationships effortlessly.  You can build your business with ease virtually on autopilot and generate heaps of referrals with this automated online referral marketing system ...

8.  Make Networking a way of life.  Attend live business network meetings, be active in online business networks also.  Always be thinking about developing relationships and being of 'service' to others, providing great 'value', and over delivering on your promise.

9.  Know your strengths and best talents and use them to best effect.  Outsource those tasks you don't enjoy or are not good at doing.

You're a business owner.  Your time may be best spent on marketing, business development, and relationship building, if you wish to see exponential growth in a period of time.

10.  Invest in your own self improvement and personal development, and learning new effective marketing techniques.  There is a direct correlation between your attitude and your altitude!

11.  Don't be too proud or ego driven to ask for help when you need or want it.  You may be pleasantly surprised at the amount of willing support you will receive when you know how to ask.  For many people, being asked for their input and support is a great compliment.

"Have you noticed that there's a shift in business consciousness that has been happening in recent times toward greater integrity?" Yes it's very noticeable and it is towards the kind of service mentality that so many public sector workers like teachers and Doctors have. Perhaps with business transforming itself in this way more idealistic youngsters will be attracted into business.

I love what you say about finding your own natural marketing process. I'd appreciate it if you could write some more on that.
