Hi and welcome! My name is Susan and I am an amateur photographer who loves to try to capture the beauty and inspiration in nature and the moment with my camera and then play with the photos in my photo program to create some really beautiful images. I believe there is beauty in everything, if we but take the time to see it. Some of the simplest things like a blade of grass, mushrooms, rotted wood, an insect, can really capture me with a sense of beauty and peace.

I started taking pictures many years ago with a film camera, but I now love digital and all the wonderful things you can do to create some really stunning and inspiring images. My photos are taken in Western Massachusetts from family and friends yards, parks, woodland areas, farms, and wherever I might find myself. I usually look for flowers, nature, and animals, but am always on the lookout for an interesting shot.

My biggest problem is, there are so many beautiful and wonderful things to capture, and so little time.

All of my images are offered for sale as prints, greeting and note cards, posters, mugs, Keds sneakers, postage stamps, T shirts, tote bags, aprons, mousepads, magnets, stickers, and more. I also offer invitations and business cards. If you have any questions or requests, please contact me.

Dragonflies 

One of my favorite critters

I love dragonflies! They definitely have personalities. Some of them just love to be photographed and will sit there very patiently until I'm done. Some have even kept flying and landing in front of me until I take their picture. And then there are others who just refuse to be photographed. I find them to be a real hoot. This little dragonfly just sat there so nicely until I got a shot I liked.

This dragonfly was sunning himself on this poor wingless whirlygig and all I could think of was "pilot to co pilot". Here's the picture as a poster on Zazzle.

Incredible Beauty

Critters 

All kinds of creatures

My favorite subject is all creatures, great and small. Whenever I can, I try to do macro shots of their faces, to catch thoughts and expressions, even on bugs. And I always ask permission of the creature before I take their picture. Here are some of my willing subjects on items I have at Zazzle.

There are just so many flowers to photograph and so little time. The season just flies by. I especially like to go out into unpopulated areas to find all the beautiful wildflowers that nature puts there just because. Few, if any people, will get to see them during their short life, but they live and grow just for the joy of it.
