The Soapy Cauldron joined Tazbar.com shortly after it went live in August 2006, and to be honest we haven't looked back. Easy to list on, no listing fees and low FVF's (Final Value Fees) make a winning formula if you want to succeed!
To date we have sold over 750 items, not bad for a site that's only been live for 18 months... and we aren't the only ones. A quick look at some of the established sellers shows that there is money to be made and bargains to be had away from the stranglehold of eBay.

Yes, eBay has more traffic. But eBay has been going for over 10 years! If you want to be successful on Tazbar, you need to let your existing customers know where you are.~Email past customers (don't spam!)
~Include a leaflet or card in each off-Tazbar sale you have telling people about your new venue
~Do a mail-shot
~SPEAK!! Tell people about it- in the Post Office, in the Shopping Mall, in the Coffee Shop, at the School Gates. Develop what we fondly call a Motor Mouth ;o)
~Pop a signature onto your emails with a link to your items on Tazbar
~Use the Forums- we're a friendly bunch, and theres even a special forum to plug your items- aptly names the Plug Hole http://www.tazbar.com/forums/forums/40/ShowForum.aspx
There are many more things you can do, but half the fun is discovering, so get creative!
