Happy 2012 New Year to Squidoo.com Friends ans Pals

While I am a Believer in Christ, I also sincerely believe in science and what we can do to help others with science. The Jews of the Old Testament, Apostle Paul and others from the New Testament never said science (as we know it by that name now) was foolish. Science just has to be understood and used in the correct perspectives. In 2012, I hope science will continue to help us live better lives and help others reach God in their unique ways.

On a personal note, I hope that my life will continue to change for the better in a social perspective. I am not an emotional person. I am very, very realistic. But I believe 1 Corinthins 13:1-13 is real life information to live by.

The best of good health and spiritual success in 2012 to all those who have joined our websites to participate, subscribe and read our shared messages or information. May God: Jesus remember to hear, answer and grant our prayer requests in 2012 so we can truly say we are happy people who believe in God: Jesus and the Christian Bible.

"Feeling overwhelmed?"

If you are having feelings of being overwhelmed, whether it is from family, job, circumstances or you have no idea why, you are not alone! We are living in a season of chaos and disturbances. It is affecting our nation, our world and our daily lives. Whether it is gas prices fluctuating, earthquakes or a new threat of terrorism, it seems we all are living on the edge. So how do we equate that with, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace%u2026."? (Isaiah. 26:3a) I think it is because we need to take to heart the rest of that verse! "%u2026whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee." We can't let our situations and distresses become bigger than our God! Let me show you an example of His vastness, because if you can be reminded of how big He is, you can rest and be in perfect peace in the midst of all turmoil.

In Psalms, chapter 147, there are 2 back to back verses that show how intimate He is with you to take care of your personal needs, yet how infinite He is to prove you can trust Him with EVERYTHING! Verse 3 says, "He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds." How much more personal and intimate can you possibly get? Trusting Someone to heal your heart, which harbors our fears and anxieties, and to bind your wounds, which may be self inflicted or from others. Then at the same time the next verse says, "He appointeth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names." We don't have a number large enough to number all the stars, yet this tells us He put them there and named everyone one of them!

If He is vast enough to handle our universe and close enough to care about our heartaches, then the problem with feeling overwhelmed must be our problem. I think He is big enough to take care of any feelings of lack or insecurity on our part. We just need to shift our focus off the problems and onto Him! We must get our eyes off of what surrounds us and get them on the One who is in control.

Meditate on and pray the following scriptures. You will leave negativity behind when you realize you are not defeated!
I Peter 2:24-By His stripes you are healed!
Ephesians 1:7-Through His blood your sins are forgiven!
II Corinthians 12:9-His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in our weakness!
I John 5:4-5-We are overcomers of this world!
Galatians 1:4-He will deliver us from this present evil world!
John 14:27-He will give us peace!
Ephesians 4:23-He will renew the spirit of our minds!
Matthew 10:1-He healed all manner of sickness and disease!
Mark 3:15-Power to cast out demons!
Philippians 4:19-He will supply all your need according to His riches in glory!
III John 2-That you will prosper and be in health!

"Put Feet on Your Prayers"

"Dear God, help me. Give me plenty of money so I can pay my bills, save my family, do whatever it takes so I am not lost, and, oh yeah, send revival to my church. In Jesus' Name. Amen."

Weak, anemic, and uninvolved in the process, we shift all the responsibility onto God's shoulders. And we should trust God. Total, complete, absolute dependency upon Him to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves is crucial for a walk of faith.

However, God expects more of us than mouthing helpless platitudes. Our involvement is necessary if we are to see our prayers answered. A paradigm shift is required on our part for the miraculous to occur.

Instead of giving God His to-do list and going about business as usual, we must accept responsibility and do our part. Our lifestyle should reflect our petitions:

"Lord, I will set no unclean thing before my eyes. I want to be pure, clean, and holy." (See Psalm 101:3.)
"I will hide Your Word in my heart so I do not sin against You." (See Psalm 119:11.)
"God, I will partner with You to save my family. I want to be an ambassador for You so they are drawn to You by the way I live." (See II Corinthians 5:20.)

Nehemiah saw a need. It was spiritual. He could have prayed, "Dear God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the walls of Jerusalem are in need of repair. Repair them, I pray."

He did more than tell God about it, he decided to act. Not only did he work, but his decision impacted countless others and the walls were built, "for the people had a mind to work" (Nehemiah 4:6).

God never intended to do for us what we can do for ourselves. He is not a genie in a bottle, granting our every wish and whim. He desires to partner with us to accomplish His will. He is looking for more than people who will pray, He is looking for those willing to put feet to their prayers. No wonder the Word states, "Faith without works is dead" (James 2:20).

What do you need? Don't just ask God to wave His magic wand, get involved in the process and see things change!

1 Corinthians 12:1-11 (King James Version)

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

"And there was war in heaven..."

"And there was war in heaven . . . Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels and he prevailed not!" Revelation 12:8

In recent weeks and days, there has been an intense war in the heavens. This cosmic conflict often manifests on the planet Earth in the local church as intercessors begin the feel the resistance to their prayers. Often, when there is war in the heavens, the intercessors experience physical, mental, and emotional fatigue.

The enemy's primary area of resistance is at the local church level. Why there? The local church is the port of entry to the kingdom of God. That is the exact place where men, women and youth escape the kingdom of darkness. So the local church is the prime target of the enemy at this hour as he fiercely opposes the vast army of intercessors.

The enemy actually wants to get to the local pastors of the churches. If he can silence the voice of the messenger through sickness, discouragement, or collateral damage to his/her family, he will weaken the effect of the local church.

Jesus has a great love and respect for His local pastors because they are always on the frontlines of this warfare. In fact, Jesus calls His pastors, "to the angels . . ." or messengers of the church at . . ." Satan's chief goal is to wear out and wear down the pastors and his family.

That is where you come in, you great intercessors. Surround, soak and marinate, your pastors in heavy intercession. Make no mistake. This is war and you have to be living under a rock to not know this. Hell is out to destroy every one of us.

And yet Sunday after Sunday, church-goers march into church with a cavalier attitude that everything is all right. This is not Disney World, ladies and gentlemen; it is absolute war. If you don't believe me, just look around your church this next Sunday and notice the missing persons, all casualties of the war.

Every one of us must approach this present spiritual onslaught with a defensive stance determined that we will not surrender one thing to the enemy. In warfare, it is always our goal to invade and take enemy territory. At other times, it is equally important to assume a defensive posture as the Apostle directed us in Ephesians 6:13, "that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

James 4:7 merely says, "Resist the devil." Just do it.

We know the enemies' resistance cannot last forever. Keep resisting for his goal to prevent you from realizing your personal destiny to which God has called you. And, your personal destiny is so closely tied to the destiny of your local church.

If there is no vibrant local church, there will be no international ministries or para-church ministries.

We give you this as a word. Revelation 12:8 "And he (the dragon) prevailed not!" Being interpreted, "You win!"
