What's so great about Czarque baby shoes?
I love fashion and I could see there was a gaping hole in the market, so I designed this range of funky baby shoes to provide an alternative to the cutesy, animal faces etc that made up the soft sole, baby shoe market.
I have always really loved texture as it makes things that could be quite plain so much more interesting! So in all my designs I try to incorporate some sort of texture.
What you will find is that a lot of the designs are like mini adult style shoes but hand crafted especially for babies.
This is how Czarque is pronounced (if you were wondering)... ZARK. Basically it is made up of "Czar" as in Russian royalty and "que" as in unique and put together you get Czarque (Zark)!
Where are Czarque baby shoes made and is it important?
While I was researching the baby shoe market I discovered that consumers didn't have much of a choice on where baby products were manufactured - it just seemed to me that there was only one choice - China! And considering all the recent product recalls (that even affect baby products - like milk!!) I wanted to provide a product that I could trust. So I set about finding an Australian manufacturer to produce these high quality baby shoes on Czarque's behalf.Another benefit to having these gorgeous baby shoes made in Australia, is that they have been produced ethically. All people involved in producing the shoes have been paid according to Australian laws, which means they have been paid very fairly. Unfortunately, this cannot be said about shoes that have been produced in other countries. For example, I recently received an email from a factory in China offering to manufacture leather baby shoes at a cost of just $2.50 a pair!! At this price how can they be paying people fairly?
Unfortunately, most businesses are driven by profit (greed) but at what human expense? Yes, businesses do have to be profitable to survive, I understand that as a business owner but how much profit do businesses require? Considering baby shoes on the market, that are made in China, are retailing between $30 - $40.
So to say the least we are very proud to offer superbly hand-crafted, leather, baby shoes, which are made in Australia. And they come in a beautiful, unique box made from 100% recycled materials, which is also made in Australia!

Paediatricians and podiatrists recommend that babies actually go barefoot but let's face it most parents like to put shoes on babies as they really complete an outfit!! So soft sole baby shoes are the next best thing as they still allow babies to be able to feel the surface they are moving on and enable them to gain their balance and coordination.Soft sole baby shoes also protect babies delicate skin from scuffs and keeps them warm in winter! And being made from leather allows babies feet to breathe.
Czarque baby shoes currently are available in two styles; baby ballet slippers and baby loafers, for girls and boys. They come in a range of colours and the size range is from Newborns to 18 month old babies (sizes 1 - 5). NB: In the new year we will add more styles to our range.
Our current range of baby shoes includes colours that are especially great for Christenings and other dressy occasion. E.g. white, pearl white etc

Designer Vs Mass
I always thought a "designer label" was a more high end product, with only limited quantities produced. And if that's not true, what's the point then? There is no difference between "designer labels" and say Target or Kmart except maybe the price!
What makes a label, a designer label?
