Love the books, the show's okay. I generally don't like the movies or shows made from books because they change too much.

It's not that I haven't been enjoying the TV show, it's simply that the way they say "Sookie", well it just took me a while to get over. I have a major problems with most movies, tv shows, whatever the case may be. However, this is the one of the better ones I've seen. I personally approve. :)

I think the books are better however there is nothing like seeing something you've dreamed up in your mind brought to life. The books are much more detailed and I think tell an amazing story. I really hope she does more books. I can't wait to see next season of True Blood as well.

I have read all the novels. Been reading them for years. Watched one episode of the show and haven't watched since. Through years of experience, I have found that the books are ALWAYS better than the tv show or movie.
People watch the show or go see the movie because they loved the books. It's always been frustrating to me when they change/moderate the info in the book to make the movie/show. Even to change small insignificant things that in no way could effect anything.

I'd like to be able to control it. If I didn't have control, it would be problem. However, I'd love to know what people are thinking sometimes. This would be my superpower if I had one. And to think, all I need is a little fairy heritage.

I agree that it would probably be more of a curse most of the time, but it has come in handy for Sookie on more than one occasion! I don't know, but maybe it would be worth it, if it could be controlled when not needed. :-)

I think she's great. The only issue I have and I think the books portray Sookie as being smarter than Anna plays the character but as time goes on in the HBO series, I think we will see the way her mind works and the way she can figure out things.

Mickie_G says:
I think she is really doing a good job with the Sookie character, but her boobs are not what Sookie has in the books.

No Way! Anna Paquin is not a good representaiton of the Sookie I know and love from the Southern Vampire Mystery Novels!

I never was into vampire stories until I got hooked into Twilight, and now I'm zooming through the Sookie books! Something so fun about the fantasy, and the combination of romance, magic, and danger... My family lived in Louisiana for a while, and I can picture the scenery while I'm reading. What will I read when I've finished off the Stackhouse stories? Five stars and a new favorite lens! :-)
