All Points East adventure tours provide a real insight into the countries visited - culture, history, landscape and natural world - and allow opportunities for genuine interaction with the local people and communities.

The Team In Chiang Mai, Thailand
Mark & Wi
The All Points East Thai office in Chiang Mai is run by Mark Ord and his wife Wi. Mark still finds time to lead Vietnam and Cambodia tours whilst Wi, a former tour-guide whom Mark met one day in Chiang Mai whilst desperate for someone to lead a tour of the night bazaar, is now general manager of All Points East, Thailand.Mark's experience in South East Asia stretching over more than 15 years includes several years as researcher for guidebooks with Stuart who is also part of the All Points East team.
All Points East was founded as Gecko Travel in 1999 by Mark and his sister Lesley.

Anyone making enquiries or booking a tour will have come across Lesley in our UK office - she is the coordinator behind all of our adventure tours.Lesley's commitment to the UK office doesn't allow much time to travel so she can often be heard bemoaning her lack of opportunity to travel to South East Asia!

Tes Viesna, Fin to his friends, was born in Siem Reap, Cambodia and now organizes logistics as well as guiding our Cambodia trips .Fin is an expert on Khmer history and Angkor temples - he's also very knowledgeable about local food and karaoke bars!
Cycling Specialist And Adventure Tours Researcher

English born Ian does his research by bicycle and is up to some 60,000 kms in South East Asia. He has recently been checking out accommodation and trekking routes in China's Yunnan Province for our new tours in that part of the region, a mere 30,000kms of pedal powered research. Thailand Manager

Jean Daniel, has a depth of knowledge and a genuine attachment to the region are evident from his enthusiasm on the Thai adventure tours that he leads.JD or Geneva Jones, amongst other names given by our passengers, is our Thailand manager. Thailand has been home to Jean Daniel for the past 20 years, a testament to his love of the country and South East Asia as a whole.

Jo is a talented painter and acts as an artistic consultant for brochures and advertising.She also helps out in our UK office and as Jo is Mark and Lesley's mother her part in All Points East makes it a real family travel business.
Thailand Tour Guide
Nui
Nui is our main Thailand guide, she is equally at home in the forest or city and specialises in leading family tours.Even though Nui lives in Bangkok she can regularly be found leading groups wading through streams in the heart of the jungle as well as showing passengers around the Royal Palace.

Sam is an administrator in our UK office but manages to find time to travel extensively in South East Asia.She is seen here last Christmas relaxing mid adventure tour and enjoying her research in Southern Laos.

Stuart
Stuart lived in and travelled from Bangkok and Phnom Penh for 8 years. Stuart now calls Jakarta home, from where he oversees the IT side of All Points East's operations and makes sure the web site is running smoothly.Stuart previously researched and co-wrote guidebooks to Vietnam and Thailand before crossing paths with All Points East during a prolonged 'beach holiday/research trip' to Southern Thailand.
