Spiderman Halloween Costume for Boys

Did you know that as popular as Spiderman is today - that he was originally a one-shot experiment for a dying comic book series and actually almost didn't even get into print at all because the editor in charge at Marvel Comics thought that people would be turned off reading about spiders. However, since the series was going to be terminated anyways, the editors finally agreed to let Spiderman debut in August of 1962 in Amazing Fantasy #15. And by 1970, Marvel Comics had become one of the dominant comic book publishers, with Spiderman as their "flagship" series.

What I like about Spiderman is that our kids have a remarkable character from the past to look up to. And he gives those that remember when he first appeared in 1962, a chance to reminisce.

Apparently there is no end to Spiderman's popularity among the young or old alike. There is currently a 4th Spiderman movie in the works...and merchandisers have developed a plethora of Spiderman toys, games, wallpaper, bed linen, lamps, lunch boxes and all types of memorabilia for your child.

Who would have ever thought that a generation filled with so many electronic gizmos would turn to Spiderman as their entertainment.

Spiderman has appeared in comics, cartoons, 3 Blockbuster movies (with a 4th scheduled for release in 2011), coloring books, novels, records, over 40 children's books, several television series over the years and now it has been reported that they're even working on a Broadway musical named "Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark" and reportedly will be the most expensive production in Broadway history.>
