Florida 2010 update
Dodgers and Reds moved out west to the desert, makes sense for the Califorina Dodgers, but the Reds in Arizona is a long trip in a winnobago! Reds loss is the Orioles gain, see you O's fans in Sarasota (great beaches!)!

get to the park early, listen to the sounds, take in the green grass!
wear LOTS of sun screen, beat RED is not a good look!
Drink lots of water, after 4 months in 20 degree weather- Florida will dry you out!
Relax, the players are doing the best they can, you will get an autograph, be patient, say please and thank you!
bring a Sharpie, a ball, a hat-. stick 'em out and get 'em signed!

Bring it son, Bring it grandson, its a game that connects the generations. It is a competition, there is no way you want to lose to Dad!
Here are the rules as GrandPa taught me;
push disks, along the deck to triangular scoring zone at the far end of the court, zone is divided horizontally into four numbered sub-zones, the numbers representing point values. If the disk lands completely within the small triangular tip zone without touching any part of the borders of the triangle, it is worth ten points; completely within the trapezoidal second tier of the triangle, it is worth eight points; and completely within the trapezoidal third tier of the triangle, seven points. If the disk lands in the large, rearmost and also trapezoidal '10 Off' section, it costs minus ten points. strategy involves deflecting the opposition's disks out of zones with a positive value, and increasing one's own points by landing disks into areas of a high point value.
