Each Squid Angel has a different picture in their mind of a bless-worthy lens. The purpose of this lens is to share with you what I'm looking for when I bless a lens (or what I am not looking for!)

I'll also share some links to more information about Squid Angels and blessings as well as provide a complete list of the current crop of fairy dust distributors. Plus, if your lens has been Blessed By Brenda, you can add it to the link list and gain a link for your lens!

What's A Blessing?

Well, one way that the dictionary defines a blessing is as an "expression of approval." If you look to the thesaurus, you will find a blessing also called a piece of good fortune, a stroke of luck, a godsend and a boon. All of that applies to a Squid Angel Blessing, but the following is how a Squid Angel Blessing will effect your lens.

Every SquidAngel who blesses a lens makes a difference in your lenses rank. If one Angel blesses your lens, it will receive a small boost in lensrank. If several Angels bless it, it jumps further up the ranking. Each Angel browses and blesses lenses that interest them across a multitude of topics. Be aware, though, that lenses that are of poor quality, that are not original or that are spam can, and most likely will, be dinged!

Great lenses have a relevant picture in the introduction. They have pictures that are related to the subject throughout the lens and it is a bonus if they are the lensmasters own photos!
Great lenses have a personally written introduction, not one that is copied from another source. Often that introduction and the writing on the lens are of a personal nature showing the lensmaster's character and feelings about something rather than just giving the facts about a topic.
Great lenses can have copied text if it is attributed to the writer but they will have original text on them as well.
Great lenses have lots of content, are well organized and have well researched information.
Great lenses don't cover subjects that are irrelevant to the topic of the lens. (You will not find Netflix movies on The Best-Ever Hawaiian Potato Salad lens.)
Great lenses have a bit more than a 'good' lens. They go a bit farther; they reach a bit higher than 5 stars.
Great lenses have sales modules related to the topic. (There's no travel module on Baby Carrots ~~ When Is A Carrot Not A Carrot.)
