Squid Angels and their Blessings are the Greatest Inspiration to Lensmasters

I have been very lucky to have met several of the Squidoo Angels during a semi-rough point in my life. They have shown themselves to me by their generous blessings of many of my lenses   (More about that later.) Since that time I have meet many of the Squid Angels through the kind blessing of my lenses. I like to give back what I can by featuring their profile pages and either their Angel Blessing lenses or lensographies. Please be sure to visit the wonderful people featured on this pages as they virtually put aside their own writing in order to fly around Squidoo looking for lenses to bless during their tenure.

We trust in plumed procession
For such the angels go -
Rank after Rank, with even feet -
And uniforms of Snow.
~Emily Dickinson

Q: What are SquidAngels, and how does this affect me?

A: SquidAngels are a team of some of our best lensmasters. They're floating around checking out lenses and "blessing" the ones that really stand out. Could you get your lens blessed? Read more here: SquidAngels Group.

My First Surprise Blessing

FashionWings White Feather Angel Costume Wings & Halo available at Amazon.comThe first time it happened I wasn't sure what a blessing meant to my lens Effective Time Management... or How to Fail Completely.

ChefKeem left the comment in my guest book that nicely said "I can definitely relate to your stories...LOL 5*s and a blessing for the laughs! :)

Now I have seen "Blessings" "Bright Blessings", and "Blessing to you" left as a sign off in guestbooks, blogs, and forums in my travels across the internet.

I first began to check around by viewing my visitor's profile page and saw Squid Angel Blessings by Chef Keem.

Oh joy! The feeling that somebody really liked my lens enough to give it a special visit and boost was absolutely incredible. And you know what? To this day, each and every new blessing has not diminished that sense of a warm and fuzzy morale-hug.

What do think is the biggest gain from an Angel's Blessing?

The acknowlegment is nice, but the LenRank Boost is the Best!

ArtByLinda says:

I have to say I love the warm fuzzy feeling I get, it always brings a smile to my lips and happiness to my heart.

PS: Just selected lensrank to even the comments out a bit ;)

The LensRank boost is great, but I like the warm-and-fuzzy-feeling Moral Boost the Best!

lumpy22 says:

They are both great but the warm and fuzzy it is a honor a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Thanks nice lens

bethd821 says:

It's a great feeling to get an Angel blessing, but an even greater one to be able to give an Angel blessing!

WindyWinters says:

I appreciate the visit and the blessing the most.

sandyspider says:

I never gave lensrank much thought. I just appreciate it when an angel gives his or her blessing.

JoyfulPamela says:

I feel so honored when they visit. I cherish each one! They have given me more confidence to keep trying and work harder. Thanks, angels! :D

A flurry of Blessings

Suddenly, I had a lot of time to get writing.

I had just enjoyed the first break in quite a while. I finished my seasonal work at a local Home improvement store where I am a outdoor garden vendor and merchandiser. My daughter and granddaughter just moved out on their own (again). I was all set to get my house back in order, and we were closing up the summer residence.

On the way back home, I got out of my husband's truck to get an errant tennis ball for our dog, Rascal. (He's eats them them candy ~ See My Chocolate Labradors Bad Eating, and other Dog, Habits for more of his tales.) Anyway, on the way back to the truck, I stepped on the edge of the road, and ... crack. Oh, boy. I broke a metatarsal bone along the top of my foot. I love my job, so happy this did not happen during my joyful employment.

Well, I'm a silver-lining type of person, so after the pain medication starting wearing off, I was ready to spend some serious time at Squidoo. Started writing like mad.
For me this means write, write, write. Sit on it for a while. Edit, edit, edit. Push the button, and go back to edit, again and again.
As you might imagine this process can take me quite awhile.

I was awarded again with a blessing by Squid Angel ChefKeem on one of my newer lens. That was the start of my flurry of Blessings for which I am forever grateful to both ChefKeem and my heavenly Angels. All their lensographies are featured below.

People who inspire me

Yes, there is an Angel on my shoulderNatural leaders and mentors
Great storytellers
People blessed with a great sense of humor who can also tell a joke
Those who can network successfully
Multi-tasking maniacs (how do they do that?)

and of course, the SquidAngels.

You'll meet more angels on a winding path than on a straight one.

This little poem is for the Angels who may have blessed my lens without notice

Although I haven't mentioned you by name,

I feel humbly blessed all the same.

Thank you dear Angels, for all that you do,

I'm so thankful you flew through.

Bad, I know, but truly heartfelt none the less.

The best book I've read lately - The Lovely Bones

An Angel is watching over...

I was first introduced to this book while on the long-drawn out hunt for a copy for my daughter's school summer reading program 10+ years ago. I was recently scrounging around trying to find items for a garage sale, and rediscovered it with other books I can't seem to part with. As per my usual modus-operandi, once I pick up a book, I can't help but read the flyleaf. "When we first meet Susie Salmon, she is already in Heaven. As she looks down from this strange new place, she tells us, in the fresh and spirited voice of a fourteen-year-old girl, a tale that is both haunting and full of hope." I was hooked.

Written by Alice Sebold, this is the heartbreaking tale of a young girl who was raped and murdered on her way home from school. The character, Susie Salmon, narrates the happenings after her death for years while she watches over her family, the detective on the case, and her killer.

Blurb bits from Amazon.com Reviews:

...The Lovely Bones, unfolds from heaven, where "life is a perpetual yesterday...
... As Sebold fashions it, everyone has his or her own version of heaven...
... Susie struggles to accept her death while still clinging to the lost world of the living...
