Squid Angel Wings and Blessings!

I got a pair of Wings, April 2010... accompanied with the Squid Angel title! Thank You!

This is the ability to make those that do well in lensmaking feel good about their lens making with a Blessing...and with the hopes of encouraging lensmasters to make more quality lenses.

Because of other Angels coming to my lenses and Blessing them, I started to think about how nice it would be to have this Blessing ability to help others, but I couldn't find out the requirements or how to become an Angel....so I made a lens asking questions about being a Squid Angel.

Having learned more about the process, I started participaing on the SquidU forum January 2010. I have learned a lot, including things about Angels and their duties...best of all I get to help on the SquidU forum, and now hope to do as well as an Angel.

Personal things I like and will look for...these are my guidelines

as a Squid Angel to Bless lenses.

I'm not professing to be the best lensmaker, but I have had good success with comments and ratings for none-commercial lenses....I can bring my artistic eye and my eclectic interests to the table. And these listed preferences I will be looking for.


  • A clean well balanced flow in a lens, good color coordination and consistency (I will use my artistic eye for this)

  • Originality of the lens

  • Nice images to go with the subjects

  • Since I'm not good at English Grammar I will look for style, originality and interesting written copy

  • Copy and paste lenses will not qualify for my Blessing

  • A guestbook is essential...I will not Bless a lens without one

  • Make sure to have your Bio and Avatar, they are an important part for being a recognized lensmaker

  • Check your module titles originality and not the default

  • Updating your lens, keeping it fresh

  • Now that we have thumbs up rating, I will also rate a thumbs up with the Angel Blessing.

or what ever is on your mind...

Well my time as an Angel is now gone, the wings have been past to someone new...I enjoyed myself, even though it was a lot of work.

I'm hoping the Blessings encourage for more quality lenses by seasoned lensmasters as well as newbies.

    your lenses are all excellently written. you deserve all the throphies. congratulations to your angel wings. i have to move you to squid angel list under D. didn't realize you are an angel. normally, it would say a hi-level squid bla-bla-bla but anyway, i will check again once you squidlike one of my lenses.

    Thank you for my blessing, as someone who has fallen into squidoo, I have found it such an encouraging platform for expressing my views, thoughts, knowledge, I thank the angels, they do so much more than "bless" a lens and work very hard, I have also found some great friends too. Great Work. I love your pictures on this lens.

    I want to thank you for taking the time to visit so many of our lenses and sprinkling a bit of angel blessings. Angels don't often get the appreciation that they deserve and I am always amazed how angels can find the time to visit so many lenses, especially since its very time consuming and takes away from your own lens building.

    Thanks for your recent Angel Blessing on my newest lens :-) The blessings always give me a warm, fuzzy feeling about Squidoo in general.

I enjoyed my 4 months time as a Squid Angel...hard work yes, but a pleasant feeling knowing that you were helping and encouraging lensmasters to make the best lenses possible.
