Squidee

Squidee was conceived at SquidU in a bizarre labratory experiment gone awry!

No, that's not it. Hm.

Squidee was conceived by a mad scientist in a secret lair hidden in the deepest bowels of SquidU.

Naw. That's not it either.

Okay okay okay.

Squidee was conceived in a forum thread on SquidU where folks were expressing a desire for a cuter more cuddly squid logo for their eBay lens:

And then Squidee was birthed (or maybe it was an ultrasound? lol) during a looong company meeting in which I normally doodle little cartoons whilst listening to the others at the meeting.

From there I flushed him/her out on my computer at home.

You'd think a squid ... and a cartoon squid at that ... would avoid that whole "gender dealie".

Well, HAH! Double HAH!

Confused? PerPLEXed? (sorry had to had the plex pun in, LOL!) Baffled? Bewildered?

Allow me to further explain.

Squidee in my mind was male. I did have a female version in my head ... but Squidee was a pretty boy squid. LOL!

However ... an outcry began petitioning that Squidee be a GIRL squid! >>>gasp!<<< Yes! That's right! They want Squidee to have a SEX CHANGE!! And in this day and age!

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!

Yeah okay so I'm being all super melodramatic. LOL.

But yes, there is a clamor for Squidee to be female!

The truth is that I actually don't really care - but I love seeing folks all caught up in the gender issue of a cartoon squid! I think it's silly (in a good way), cute, and well, fun!!

But shhhhh .. don't tell anyone!!
