Who am I?

I am ReccoR... just an average guy hoping to make it big on Squidoo! well, not really, more or less I am here to have fun and make a few friends. I love knowing that other people out there are actually seeing what I write. I figure that if I am to make goals it will give me something to look forward to and to strive towards in my Squidoo adventure!

This will show all of my Squidoo goals and aspirations, It will also show whether they have been completed or not. I will break these down into smaller sections and explain them further and give details on the goals.

As you can see I have many hopes and dreams for Squidoo and I am positive that they can be achieved! I will now break down these goals and later in the lens I will break down the goals I hope to achieve monthly to keep myself on track!

Making Lenses!

These are my top priority! if you do not have content how can you plan to succeed on the internet? These will be the base that I will build this entire experience on and will use to hopefully make the bulk of any money that I can bring in!

I currently am making lenses on RPG games but I plan to soon make lenses on my favorite authors and then make branch lenses for all of their books (at least the popular ones!)
  • Make my first lens! [achieved] -This was achieved last year in January! My first lens was The History of The Elder Scrolls .
  • Make 10 lenses! [achieved] - This was achieved on 1/17/2011 one year from my first lens. I know, thats crazy right? I actually had given up on this site after making a lens and losing all of the content when my power went out last year and am newly back to the site!
  • Make 25 lenses! [achieved] - This was achieved on 1/22/2011 only 5 days from the 10 lenses trophy! WOW, I just realized how quickly I was chugging out lenses! Though all should remember that quality beats out quantity every time!
  • Make 100 lenses! [x] - going to take a while!
  • Make 250 lenses! [x] - Everyone needs a dream!
Create a lensAs you can see I do not plan to do this overnight, my first and 10th lenses were a year apart! Squidoo will take much patience and willingness to learn for me to conquer it!

Make Money!

I hope to eventually use Squidoo as a way to get some extra pocket change in my... pocket. I know this day may be in the distant future but I can see it calling! I currently have a lens in the tier 2 rank and if it can stay there for the rest of february I may have a $6.00 or so paycheck, plus the tier 3's from all of my January lenses that I made!
  • Have a squidoo payday! [achieved!] - During my year long stint of inactivity 3 months were had in which my one lens was in tier 3. I had this lens set to charity and thus I made, and gave to charity, $0.50 In a year.
  • Make $1.00 on Squidoo! [achieved!] - Achieved, 2/10/2011, woohoo!
  • Make $5.00 on Squidoo! [x] - If good luck shines down on ReccoR this will be had at the same time as the $1.00 goal!
  • Make $25.00 on Squidoo! [x] - Hopefully will be had by June!
  • Make $100.00 on Squidoo! [x] - Another one of those dreams!
  • Make a sale on Squidoo! [achieved] - Achieved 2/9/11! A game was sold with my Elder Scrolls Lens .
Squidoo MoneyWhile I am not necessarily doing this to make a huge profit, the money brought in will be a great way to help me see the progress I am making! Also people tend to tell me I will never get anything out of this site and I am set on proving them wrong!

Become a somebody!

In Squidoo there are only so many groups that you may join, and many are prestigious and take a lot of effort to be able to join. I would like to be a part of these groups some day.
  • Achieve Giant Squid! [x] - This is achieved when a lensmaster has 50 "GREAT" lenses, I make sure that every lens I make is Great when published or is quickly fixed after publishing in the hopes that when I hit 50 I will be able to join the ranks as a Giant Squid!
  • Achieve Giant Squid 100 club! [x] - Even more prestigious than the Giant Squid, this is achieved at 100 "GREAT" lenses!
  • Achieve Lens of the Day! [x] - The greatest honor a lens can be given is Lens of the Day (LoTD) This is given to only the best of lenses and marks that lens as a good lens to look at and to strive towards and marks the lensmaster as someone who "knows what they are doing!"
  • Get a purple star! [x] - This honor is given to lenses whom are exceptionally well made, many Lens of The Day candidates and high ranked lenses have these! Purple stars are only given out to Lenses made by Lensmasters that are Giant Squids!
  • Get blessed by an angel! [achieved!] - This was achieved approximately 1/25/2011 and made my day! Squid Angels are picked for there activeness in the community and goodwill towards others. When picked as an angel you have the power for 30 days to bless lenses made by other lensmasters. This boosts the lensmasters moral and will give the lens a lensrank boost! THIS LENS WAS BLESSED ON 2/7/2011 BY Hayleylou!
  • Become a squid angel! [x] - I have not yet been picked but I recently applied for the position. Maybe someday!
Squidoo GiantAs you can see I still have quite a ways to go! but I can smell that giant squid badge already only 18 more lenses to go! If I publish more lenses and that 18 is not correct I am sorry but I do have other things going on in my world!

Leveling in Squidoo!

Alrighty then, I know that leveling in Squidoo is not a huge deal, but I do find that I listen to and look at the higher leveled lensmasters more than the lower leveled lensmasters! It also shows someone that is generally more active in the community! The occasional lensrank turboboost or new theme are nice as well!
  • Achieve level 10! [achieved]

  • Achieve level 30! [achieved]

  • Achieve level 50! [x]
  • Achieve level 60! [x]
  • Achieve level 70! [x]
  • Achieve level 80! [x] - I am not sure what comes after level 80 but I will be happy enough just hitting 80 and thus this is where my goal ends for this and a new one may be made eventually when this one is more "in sight"
I am chugging along in levels lately and have gone about 15 or so in level in the last 3 weeks!

Use the web to my advantage!

I know very little about the intricacies of the internet and I learn more and more everyday. I also have a long way to go with affiliate marketing and thus these goals come into play!
  • Learn basic html code! [achieved] - This has made my lenses look much better and much closer to that of a giant squids than what my original lenses looked like!
  • Learn advanced html code along with CSS and other such things! [x] - Will take quite some time that I feel will be well spent, hope to study and have a vast and great understanding before marking this as achieved!
  • Make a website! [x] - This just seems to be what many people do as a way of making a true name for themselves on the internet. This may be in quite some time, but someday I hope to have a website!
  • Create a Zazzle account! [x] - I doubt that this will take more than 10 minutes but I have not yet found the time! Will get to it when I get to it I suppose!
  • Create my own Amazon Affiliates account! [x] - This way I will not necessarily need to use a module to sell items and will be able to just make an amazon button for people to click on. This also just seems more "legitimate" if you will.
  • Sell something on my Ebay account with one of my Squidoo lenses! [x] - I will first have to make an ebay... maybe someday!

February Goals

By the end of the month I would like to have all of these goals complete.

    What a great idea to chart your goals and your progress. Level 80 is a no bells or whistle event that brings you to a place of seeing there are even higher mountains to climb. Good luck in reaching your goals!
