Squidoo Quests

There Be Quests About
Along with the new monsters and points we're now also given quests. Quests are little challenges designed to teach new lensmasters and encourage participation of all lensmasters on Squidoo.
As you Level Up you'll unlock these quests one at a time. You'll find them on the My Items tab of your dashboard. Sometimes special non-level quests will be posted on your Activity Stream under the My Points tab. NEW: There is a new tab on our dashboards for Quests to make them easier to find.
I don't want to give anything away, so you won't find any links to the Quest pages, or specifics on what you'll have to do here on this lens. This is just a general overview for anyone who's curious.
And, no I'm not sure why Herman, Snowy, and Kipsy all look the same.

Rules of Questing
- Follow all of the quest's directions.
- Only submit a form once it's complete.
- Never submit an old lens when asked for a new one.
- Have fun!
Knock Knock, Who's There?
Whooo are you?
The newest Quest is now also the first one new Squids will receive. It appears at Level 1.
Once you submit this Quest you'll be given 50 points.

Professor Frankenfish's Quest
You'll unlock this Quest opportunity once you reach Level 5.Update: This Quest has been removed.
Professor Frankenfish invites you to learn a few things about Squidoo and earn 200 points for completing his Quest!
He has 5 tasks for you to do, each of which is designed to get you to try something new.
Professor Frankenfish's Quest will be on your Unlocked Items page.
Herman the Merman
You'll unlock your second opportunity to complete a Quest at Level 15.Update: This Quest has been removed.
Herman the Merman needs your help. You can earn 500 points for completing his Quest, and there might be a LensRank boost in it for you as well. No promises though.
You'll have to find 7 great lenses and make a brand new one.
Herman the Merman will be on your Unlocked Items page.
Desperately Seeking Snowy
The third Quest comes on Level 18.Update: This Quest has been removed.
Short 'n' sweet. Snowy needs a friend.
This one's worth either 100 or 200 points, it's up to you.
Desperately Seeking Snowy will be on your Unlocked Items page.
Kipsy's Return
Quest number four is on Level 28.Update: This Quest has been removed.
This one's big, and I don't just mean Kipsy's size.
You'll have to find 15 great lenses to suit her needs, and create a brand new lens. It's a lot of work, but you'll earn a whopping 1,200 points!
Kipsy's Return will be on your Unlocked Items page.
Old Hortence's Alphabet Soup
Giant Squids were invited on a special quest all their own on 09/08/2010.Old Hortence needs help finding ingredients. You'll need to SquidLike 26 great lenses.
1,000 points will be awarded for successful completion.
Old Hortence's Alphabet Soup was listed in your Activity Stream.
Purple Star Quest
Purple Star winners get their own quest as well. It was first handed out on 09/15/2010.You'll be awarded 50 points if you nominate a stellar lens from a fellow lensmaster for a Purple Star. Even greater than the points is knowing you made someone's day!
The Purple Star Quest was listed in your Activity Stream.
Back to School Quest
This quest was offered to top lensmasters in the Parenting & Kids category on 09/16/2010.
You have to SquidLike and comment on 12 lenses, and create 1 brand new lens.
Successfully complete this quest to earn 500 points and a LensRank boost for your new lens.

SquidPaws Quest
This quest was offered to top lensmasters in the Animals & Nature category on 9/27/1010 and has to be finished by Thursday September 30th.
Successfully completed quests earn 200 points and a chance for a new lens to win Lens of the Day.

Calamari Dreaming
This Bucket list quest was offered to 100 Club Giant Squids on 10/4/1010.
They can earn 800 points and receive one LensRank turboboost. The Deadline for this Quest is December 30th 2010.

- Mine didn't give me an explanation or ask me to do anything. I think I have just unlocked themes and modules that I can use, nothing more.

- What happens if you are not getting points for your quests. I am due 600 points but have never gotten them. I know it takes time, but this is going on two weeks. There doe not seem to be any place to ask or to check what happened.
It has soured me on doing quests.

- Hi, are there deadlines for the regular quests like Kipsy's Return ? Meaning, once you get the quest, or read the quest, you have X days to complete it ?

- Mine does not appear in my Quests or Items tab but I did get a notification that I unlocked the quest. How recently did they move it to level 25? Thank you for the helpful lens!

- I finally reached Herman the Merman quest, did part of the work and then it disappeared! So frustrated! My new lens was such a good idea, too ... Any way you can add the date the quest was moved? Excellent summary lens ... great job!
