My Grandmothers

At various times me, my brothers, sisters and even my parents thought we knew better then Nanna and sometimes it was true. However, Nan used to let us know what the Church taught about living good and moral lives. As we grew up, we were influenced by the views of popular culture shown in television shows, movies and the printed media. But Nan, cared about us enough to challenge our ways so we could have a choice about the way we lived. It wouldn't surprise me if she is in purgatory, hopefully in heaven, praying for all of us, now.

The Rosary beads in this picture, JP II Rosary by Jess Pac, on Flickr is very similar to a much older pair of Rosary beads that my Aunt gave me. My Aunt told me they were used by my Great Grandmother. Our family includes her, when we pray our daily prayers and during our family Rosary.
