Some (on forums) say 3-5% of having the main keyword on the page is good.I suggest having them as many times as you can,but only if the page is readable and is not annoying to the reader. Most people think if having the keyword density high on a page makes you rank higher, actually it doesn't its worse.

This is also a must.If you don't have your keywords somewhere in the body text repeatedly the GoogleBot thinks the page is irrelevant.

Very important.Why? Every time the Googlebot comes and checks your lens it sees something new.Fresh content is best.Updating your content is also advisable.If you cant ,throw a news capsule on the page.

If you copy paste the same content from another website readers will be reading the same thing over and over again.Google will not place you higher then the original site.It might not even rank you anywhere for traffic to get to you.

Having a domain registered for 3 years + has a better chance of ranking because its not a hit and run "reap the fortunes any way i can" black-hat site.Don't be worried about this squidoo is trusted by google.

After some sites had seen large amounts of traffic disappear , webmasters,bloggers and internet marketers were in despair. Not only because of their 'passive' income but because of the future of Googles ranking system and future results.
The culprit was Googles new update called Panda.
Panda is Googles new ranking system for results ,which lowered value for advertising,over-promosional and spam sites giving greater power to what users want content and social networking sites.
It had a rather larger affect on Squidoo similar sites which didn't have alot of article reviewing before publishing.
All sites had come to a point to delete user accounts that had over done their marketing and to moderate their sites more to avoid spamming.
Squidoo was hit aswell not site wide though.And with good moderations is back on track gaining even more google traffic.
This helped alot of Squidoo users that take their time to write great original content giving them a actual boost in rankings.
Don't be worried to link your site,blog or business and market products just dont overdo it.

Google sometimes follows these link as observed in the Google Webmaster tools ,to find out whats on the other end. I have no proof that it helps rank but it must have some importance.As for Yahoo,Bing and Msn I have no proof.

Dofollow links have the power to raise you higher in the search engine results, if your desired keyword is used in the anchor text. They pass link juice helping you gain in PageRank and a very important factor is that they get your site or page indexed faster.

Sites have become stricter on having dofollow links because of the vast amount of abuse from spammers and black haters giving us a harder time to find them.

The easiest way to know if a link is do follow or no follow is by downloading a toolbar that colours the link depending on what it is or underlines nofollow links.I use Seoquakes toolbar that underlines the nofollow links when enabled and firefox seo toolbar is a good option that highlights no follow links in red . Googleing will find you more toolbars than you can imagine.

Finding good dofollow backlinks can be rather hard but if you have a toolbar installed when you surf on the internet you can find quite a lot of sites that offer do follow links.Always check to see the Pagerank of the site (home page),this will help you to now how fast the link will be detected(the higher the pagerank the better) and if any link juice will be passed(the Pagerank of the page where the link will be placed matters here not the homepages).Check to also see how many other links are on the page to external pages.(the less the better)

Their are quite a few article directories or user generated content sites like ezinearticles, hubpages ,infobarrel and hundreds more, all you have to do is write an article that has to do with yours lens and make a link towards your lens with your chosen keyword.These links are very powerful giving you instant traffic + better search engine position rankings.
