Squidward, through his raucus shenanigans and gnashing of teeth, likes to come off as a tough guy, but his skinny limbs and awkward features just don't pull it off. He plays the clarinet, yet loves to hang out his tower window and shake his fist at Spongebog, not to mention the fact that he gives the poor guy even more trouble at the Crusty Crab where they both work.

At least he makes the show interesting!
Why do a lens dedicated to an unsavory character? My "quality time" with my child is sometimes relegated to watching Spongebob Square pants with him. What I do though is drive him nuts asking him all kinds of questions about the characters and why they do things. This is a good way for us to bond, but a nice by product is I know a lot about the characters. Squidward is my favorite to watch, because he is always making a fool of himself in his quest for admiration and perfection. He is fun to laugh at, is not offensive, and is a great example of how not to act. I like to tease my son sometimes when he gets cranky and tell him he sounds like Squidward. That usually changes his tone.Another reason is I feel like Squidoo is the perfect venue to showcase Squidward. Where else but a site full of Squids?

- I love Squidward. In fact, I love all of the characters on the Spongebob Show. My G-baby and I sing the song at the beginning of the show and it is such fun!
