Mini-Bio

Stephen Edwin King was born September 21, 1947 amd is an American author of over 200 stories including over 50 bestselling horror novels.  When he was two his father deserted his family leaving his mother to raise him and his older brother David alone.  in the early 70's he sold a few stories that helped make ends meet.

He sold his first novel Carrie to Doubledays buying it with a $2,500 advance.  The paperback rights gained him another $ 200,000.  This allowed him to write full time.


After more than 35 years later he is still writing and scaring us.
