Located in the heart of Jefferson County, Ohio is a three to six bedroom home for sale. Although most currently being used as residential property, it has been used for a variety of commercial purposes in the past. This is a four story home (including the full basement and dormer style attic) featuring several fire places, large windows, 2 half and 2 full baths. Built in 1920 this brick structure was completely gutted and remodeled just five years ago. All of the wiring has been replaced, the hot water tank is new and the furnace is in good shape. Contents at a Glance
The Main Floor
Living Room -
The living room is approximately 14x29 with a large window on each end as well one on either side of a stone fireplace (you'll find it on the long wall). Tan carpet and forest green curtains will stay with the home. The fireplace pictured is obviously the centerpiece of this room; however a 9 light chandelier on the entrance end of the room is also another highlight of this main room. Click on the fireplace to see more pictures of this room.
Entrance Hall - The main entrance to this home is a large burgundy door with cut glass window and original window sidelights.
The hall is approximately 8 feet wide with wood laminate flooring that matches the dark cherry stained woodwork featured in most of the main floor of the home. The open staircase leads the way to the upper two floors. As you ascend, should you look up, you can see all the way to the top. At the rear of the hall is the entrance to the back hall as well as the back door. I'll add a better picture of the front door. Didn't realize I didn't have a good picture until I uploaded these. Meanwhile click that picture on the left to see additional views of the Main Foyer.
Formal Dining Room -
The formal dining room is deep blue and features the second of the four fireplaces found in the home. The dark cherry woodwork was stained to match the mantle. One large window in the front of the room matches the front one in the living room and two smaller windows accent either side of the fire place. Above the mantle has been finished to accomodate a large picture or mirror. Click the picture to see a additional views. I'll be adding more when I have a moment.
Kitchen - The kitchen is finished in lighter wood than the rest of the main floor. With 12" ceramic tile flooring and 6" ceramic tile counter as well as 4" white ceramic tile back splash, the kitchen combines modern with the Victorian look of the rest of the home. The deep double kitchen sink has a built in soap dispenser and a high neck polished chrome faucet. Lazy suzan style bottom corner cabinets make use of every inch of space and an 8x8 pantry just off the kitchen allows for much storage of food and wares. A nice sized half bath off the kitchen finishes the space. Pictures are coming.

Second Floor
3 Bedrooms and 2 full baths
Master Bedroom - The Master Bedroom sits directly above the living room and is the same size. At 14x29, it's a pretty luxurious room. Plenty of space for a king size bed as well as a sitting area. Additionally, a large master bath corresponds the width of the the Main Foyer on the first level. While currently these two rooms aren't finished, they should be by fall. Optionally, the buyer might negotiate a better price if he or she wanted to finish this project. A fireplace directly above the Living Room fire place could be a delightful centerpiece to this opulent setting. His and hers closets at the east end of the room offer a nice frame to the front window.
Hall Closet - At the top of the stairs is a HUGE Hall closet with built in drawers perfect for linens and bedding. This closet is about 4 feet deep and 5 feet wide. The 2.5 ft. built in drawers fill the entire depth of the closet. With this kind of spaciousness, you can store anything here (although you don't need to because the entire top floor is perfect for storage). Additionallly, if the buyer wanted to, the master bath could easily be enlarged with 1/2 of this closet and you'd still have a wonderful storage place.
Full Bath - The Upstairs bath is one of the completed rooms on this level. It's not huge, but more than adequate. It has a nice 4 foot long shower and the cabinet under the sink has a drawer below the cabinets that holds six towels and a stack of washcloths nicely. The light oak finish cabinets compliment the old poplar door nicely. Have we mentioned yet that every door on the second floor has the original glass doorknobs from 1920? With five lights above the medicine chest, this well lit room is great for makeup and hair and a window on the north side allows for natural light giving it a warm feel even when the lights are out.
Bedroom 2 - Both bedrooms are approximately 14'x12'. The one in the front is nearly finished. it just needs some window trim, baseboard and carpet. It features a beautiful fireplace and nice sized closet as well as hardwood floors that just need a little TLC.
Bedroom 3 - As we mentioned, bedroom 2 & 3 are approximately the same size. However, this room along with the master bath are the only ones in the home that still need dry wall. We took out the lathe and plaster back when we started the remodel so that all of the old coal dust would be gone before; however, limited funds have kept them from being finished. A buyer with skills might want to take advantage of a little lower price and the ability to finish it to his or her taste.
Like the main floor the upstairs has radiant boiler gas heat.
