Stilts for Kids - Being taller is fun!

Kids just love walking on stilts. It might take a little practice, but once you get the hang of it, the possibilities are endless.

Think back to those days when you were little. It was hard to see anything because you weren't tall enough so you stood on your tippy toes or got a boost from dad. Then there's that big smile when "at last I can see...I can see".

Ever wonder why kids like to be picked up? Well part of the reason is because they are up higher and don't have to look up anymore when they want to see something. And since stilts for kids are low to the ground, they won't get hurt if they fall off.

Helps kids build balance and coordination

Girls Stilts (affiliate link)Stilts for kids not only brings the fun back by being tall, but it helps kids develop their balance and coordination skills.

With stilts, you are using your arms and legs together along with balance. Once your child develops these two skills, they will be able to transfer this knowledge to other activities, such as learning to ride a bike, roller skating, and preventing injury by adjusting their balance if they start to fall.

Monster Feet

Monster Feet (affiliated link)Stilts for kids come many sizes. Here's what my son started on.

It took my oldest son a few days to get the concept of pulling on the ropes when walking, but once he got the hang of it you couldn't get him off them.

Even though he's a little older now, he still goes back to this pair. I guess it reminds him of when he first started out and all the fun he had.
