Dealing with The Stop Smokeing Side Effects
It can not be denied that when the time comes to stop smokeing it may be one the single most challenging experiences of your life. It is public knowledge that the chemical nicotine is highly addcitive and that makes giving it up more difficult. This chemical is addictive and just like any addictive drug, cessation leads to withdrawal and your body wanting the drug so much that a number of symptoms, or side effects will develop. The side effects of stopping smoking are unpleasant, but remember that they will effect you for the initial 72 hours after you quit. Hang in there! You can enjoy a smoke free life after these inititial, testing, first three days. The side effects of when you stop smokeing effect you in quite a variety of ways which can be both physical and mental. These symptoms are nicotines way of tempting you to light up yet another dreaded cancer stick. It is vital that you do not give in to these temptations regardless how bad the symptoms seem, remember the worst of these sympoms only need to be endured for the less than half a week before you can go on to enjoy a long and smoke free life!
The initial thing you will discover is that you'll start feeling demoralised about not having those cigarettes around when you feel that you "need" them; before you could turn to cigarettes to help you get through just about any situation. This slump may lead into feelings of anxiety during whcih time which you may develop jitters and fears about not being capable of managing daily life without a smoke.
Smoking is all about habits: You used to hang out in certain places with certain friends but after stopping you will have to become a loner to some degree. As a result, another side effect of stopping smoking will kick in known as boredom and loneliness. Worst of all though, there is another side effect, but this one will affect those around you faster than it will affect you personally. You will become more irritable, hot tempered and ready to snap at anyone for any little thing. Chances are that you will not even realize that you are being irritable. Just remind yourself and those around you that after 72 hours, things should start to calm down and ask them to bear with you until you get there; they will understand and support you while you stop smokeing.
