DUD's Ruin/Take Lives!
....Driving Unsafe Distracted.... DUD!
- A non-profit effort -
I've had it with distracted drivers! I've had too many narrow escapes from their selfish driving behavior, and I find it necessary to make a big fuss about this. It led me to placing a disparaging sounding acronym on these dangerous drivers... to better point the finger at them and their insidious habit, and cajole/shame them into changing their ways. This is a personal effort/cause to help stem the generally accepted habit of driving under the influence of distractions. I ask you to please assist me in this effort, and together we can remind drivers that driving distracted is completely unacceptable.
In conjunction with this "lens", I also created a few tools to help fight and spread the word about DUD. 100% of sales income from these DUD tools/items will go to FocusDriven, the national advocacy group for victims of motor vehicle crashes involving drivers using cell phones.
The habit of cell phoning, texting, and accessing the web with tablets and web phones while driving is extremely dangerous. But unfortunately those are just a few of the many driver distractions that cause so many crashes, injuries, and deaths. IE, reading, eating, self grooming, undressing/dressing, frolicking, playing with electronic media, smartphones, etc. etc.
Here's your opportunity to get the StopDUDNow! message directly to where DUD's live... ON THE ROAD... where it counts most. And that how they drive is a serious threat to their own safety, as well as to others and other drivers around them. Hopefully together we can change people's attitudes about driving with distractions. Remember, there are 4,300 crashes and 16 deaths EVERY day in the US attributed to the failed behavior of DUD's.

I was almost hit by a woman talking on her cell phone while driving. It is very dangerous. Also eating, putting on makeup, reading, anything that takes your attention off the road.

Driving distracted is like normal life. We're always multi-tasking. What's the big deal.
