- As a massage therapist and a sufferer of sciatica, I will say that stretching is by far the best way to relieve sciatica. Most imortantly, stretching needs to be routine. Sciatica can be relieved with a few stretches whenever it flares up, but having a regular stretching routine will keep the sciatic nerve from flaring up as often.
