Building a Home Based Business these days can be difficult. Unless you have a healthy budget and extra money to spend, you can't keep up with the big boys and their ramped up advertising budgets. That is why you have to get creative and the information I'm sharing with you will play a huge part in your success.

I believe it's time that Beginners in Network Marketing, MLM, or Direct Sales industry get someone in their corner to help them get results. The first resource I checked out was The Veretekk Marketing System after a friend told me about it. Personally, I found it to be full of extras that are usually additional costs when using other marketing systems out there. Veretekk was free to join and I got to test drive the system to see if it would work for me. Initially, I found the system complicated, but once I got some training on how to maximize the 22 different traffic portals, leads began pouring in.

Although I had gotten started with Veretekk, my Internet Marketing knowledge base was still very small. That's when I came across and began researching and using Attraction Marketing through Marketing Merge Professional. Again, I enrolled in the University for free but soon discovered that I would have access to so much more and I upgraded. Frankly, the small amount I pay each month to have access to all the resources on Free marketing far exceed my expectation and I have never regretted that decision.

As I went through the training in the university I was taught step by step,via live and recorded webinars, how to generate endless leads for my business. I was introduced to Attraction Marketing and Social Marketing Techniques. I learned how to use things like MySpace, and FaceBook, Squidoo, Digg, and even YouTube.

If you have a desire to be successful in todays business, you have to participate in todays digital age of marketing. It is extremely important to your business that you embrace technology and use it to promote your business. Most likely, you've already gotten a "squeeze page" or "splash page" where visitors to your website can opt in and provide you their name, email, and phone #. Once they do opt in, it's up to you to follow up with them and develop a relationship of some sort.

So the big question is, "How do you get people to your page and get them to opt-in?" The straight answer is targeted traffic which translates into free leads. If you can attract enough targeted traffic to your website, more individuals will opt-in, and you will have more leads to whom you can market. It is really that simple and simple to do if you know how. Now, how does a home business owner successfully drive targeted traffic to a website? There are a few different ways and I encourage you to try one or all of them.

Blogs

Blogging can be time consuming especially if you keep your blog up to date on a daily basis. Although time consuming, a good blog is a good way to generate free traffic to your website. When creating and writing your blog, you create links in it that point directly to your website and websites of others. Search engines love dynamic, active, blogs with links to other sites so you have a better chance of getting ranked higher which creates more traffic.

Press Releases

Press releases, although not as utilized as blogs, are another good way to generate free leads for your website. Press releases bascially function as news stories and give you more credibility. They are very easy to do, you simply write an article, that is not self promoting, about your network marketing, MLM, or Direct Sales business and publish it on press release sites. This is free to do and can get you more quaility leads.

Forums

Participating in forums will also attract website traffic to your site. The goal is to participate in forums related to your business or product. Categories such as internet marketing, home based business, network marketing, Direct Sales Marketing, and MLM sales are good categories to get started with. When you decide to join a discussion forum, make sure you know the rules first so you don't inadvertently do something to get yourself kicked out of the forum. Forums are not the place to advertise your business they are simply a place to discuss topics, but you can place your website in something called your signature line. Now some forums do not mind if you advertise but they usually have a very specific place to do that if they allow it. The point in being involved in a forum is to provide value. It is always better to give some of your advice and provide constructive feedback in the discussions of others.

Article Marketing

Article writing and submitting them to article directories is a GREAT way to increase targeted traffic back to your website. It is time consuming, but it definitely works to get you additional free traffic. The key here is to write something interesting. When it's interesting your readers will click on the links at the end of your article and take them to the doorstep of your website. Your article should have links pointing to your business website and capture page where they are more likely opt-in and want more information from you.

Ad/Article Submission Sites

Submission sites are basically sites on the internet that either allow you to post one or more ads or articles to the web, or they offer to do it for you for a fee. Honestly, it's not very difficult and I recommend you use a site that allows you to control the ad submissions and doesn't charge you a fortune. One site that I favor is Blastomatic because it is FREE to use and it blasts your ad out to millions of sites. The power of that is unbelievable. The search engines love links, and because your ad is blasted out to many many locations, the search engine spiders pick it up and you get ranked higher. The higher ranking means more traffic to your site.

If the things I mentioned above are new to you, I recommend you start with one and take the time to learn about it and create some content. There are good quality programs out there where you can learn how to maximize the methods I've mentioned above. Personally, I've used the Renegade University as the internet school where I learn how to best utilize free marketing tactics and techniques.
