Sunfishography -A Lensography

All kidding aside, I wanted to create a Lensography to keep track of allllll the wonderful, informative, entertaining, GRRrreat, and Must-See lenses I have done, am doing, and will do in the near and distant future (ok, obviously the future ones are not here yet).

And yes, at this time that number is still relatively small, and what better time to get organized, while it is still manageable?

Do enjoy your visit. This page will grow. You heard it right here, right now, on this very page. Please mark the time and date.

Who Is SunFish?

The basics

I am an artist, writer, teacher, and enterpreneur who seem to be to be acquiring quite the collection of websites; a few for your visiting pleasure:

Art sites: RiverbyNight.com , Zazzle Gallery , Cafepress , Greeting Cards , Etsy.
Writing sites: ChristinePointeau.com , The River Notes , 60 Second Commute
Join me: Retire on $3 , MyNetWealthTeam.

Find me and Make Friend: FaceBook , MySpace.

Publishing my own comic books is a dream and a reality, which I do under my personal label River by Night.

I have enough stories in sketch books to fill my personal library, though often run a bit short on time -that annoying thing called j.o.b... (working on a remedy for that too...)

Join Me In Changing People's Lives -Yours Too!

Highly recommended

***This "Work From Home" lens featured below has now shot up to #53 in Work At Home within a few days of being created.***
Watch it climb update: Nov08:#45! - 20Nov:#38 - 21Nov:#28 - 23Nov:#21 - 29Nov:#20

I recently joined this WorkFor3Dollars site. What convinced me is both the very low cost one time entry fee and the tremendous payout system. What's $3? Don't we all spend that on frivolous stuff all the time? At least here that money is working for me.

Furthermore, there is a Team behind this that support eachother to success. Read the comments at the end of the lens.

This is literally changing lives -it could change yours too. Click on the banner to see more about WorkFor3Dollars.

Highest ranks achieved

sorted by category

Lenses make this list once they reach a rank below 1,000 in their respective category, or 10,000 overall. Keep checking to see which ones made the cut.

Personal Book Lenses

Self published under River by Night label

It was bound to happen. When one is raised on a steady diet of books and stories filled with beautiful, wonderful images, it is only fitting that consequences should insue... i.e. dreaming of publishing one's own stories.

Ha! Sure enough. Here is the collection so far.

Comic Book Lenses

European & Independent specifically

I lovelovelove comic books, especially the independent and European kind. I grew up reading Tintin, Asterix, Blueberry, Lucky Luke and the likes, and am very grateful to have been introduced to such wonders at an early age.

Art Matters

It's good for the soul

Lenses concerned primarily with art in one form or another. My personal tastes are directed more towards the naive and primitive type, and the modern approach, so that is most likely what you will find here. Oh, and off course the Impressionists... he, he.

Understanding Comics

by Scott McCloud

Understanding Comics: The Invisible Art

Amazon Price: $15.82 (as of 12/09/2009)Buy Now

Scott McCloud is a genius at understanding and explaining the many subtle aspects in the genre.

This book is also a tour-de-force as it explains comics in a comic format. This is the first of 3 books, each going a little deeper into it's own focus. Though they can be read out of turn, this first is great for anyone remotedly interested in understanding what all the noise is about.

Random Trivia: A Vegetarian Journey

Just the fact, ma'am...

I became vegetarian in 1997 for health reasons, then naturally progressed to a vegan diet.
On July 1st, 2001, I made the leap to raw vegan, which I followed for about 5 years, before setting into 75-80% raw.

A Green Revolution

Changing the world, one salad at a time

Green for Life

Amazon Price: $10.17 (as of 12/09/2009)Buy Now

This book single-handedly revolutionized not only the raw-vegan world, but the mass general consciousness as well. It brought to awareness the importance of green for our health and well being. It highlighted the extreme importance diet plays in our lives and how connected we are to our food source and the environment.

Victoria Bountenko and her family are extraordinary for what they have overcome in terms of illness, and how much they have and continue to contribute to the world.

A must read, whether you are a meat eater, vegetarian, vegan, raw, or anywhere on the scale.
Highly Recommended. 2 thumbs up.

Food Lenses

Featuring some of my favorite foods

Food and greens probably account for approximately 90 % of my diet, so any lens in this section will most likely be in either or both of these categories.

Business Lenses

What you'll find here are programs I truly believe in and want to share with others through a sincere desire to help as many people as I can.
Read, participate in what resonates with you, and be in touch -I'm here to help.

60 Second Commute

... a journey to working from home

There are so many programs and systems out there that promise you the moon, it can be very confusing.
What you'll find here: the handful of programs I choose to participate in; successful concepts, tips, and practices; thoughts and insights; inspirational quotes; fun posts to remember to laugh a little; and more. Welcome.

Architecture & Shelter Lenses

Particularly the earth & people friendly kind

I am fascinated with ways people find to include the ancient wisdom of shelters with new technologies to create better, healthier, and at times, self-sustaining new housing.

Transportation

How people get from here to there and back (or not)

So much in store for this category. Transportation is as old as the world, so be warned.

Travel Adventures In Real Life

To those who go and do the things we only dream of

There are plenty of folks who know how to live fully, and through whom we can vicariously enjoy the highs and lows from the comfort -and safety- or our home. This section is a salute to these men, women, and children.

Random Trivia: Ubi bene, ibi patria

"Where one feels good, there is one's home"

People I meet often ask where I'm from. Because I get tired of the question, I let them guess. The most common answer is New Zealand or South Africa, neither being the right continent.

Movies & TV

All genre

The movie spectrum reflects all varieties of tastes. Here I share a few of mine.

Articles A-Plenty

Personal Development and the likes

I write occasional personal development articles, which I publish on my namesake: ChristinePointeau.com

Here's the latest.
