Ranked #6,705 in Healthy Living, #114,967 overall | Donates to Save the Children

We all crave Sunshine!

There is nothing that feels better than the warmth of the Sun. I love sunshine. The first thing I do in the morning is open the blinds and let in the morning sun. It warms up the room and wakes everything up.

Got Sunshine? Suffer from SAD?

Feeling Cranky? - Get some Sunshine

I know for me in the wintertime, I can become a little depressed. I really miss the Sun! So I do 3 things everyday to help me get some sun....

#1 When the sun is out, I take full advantage and open the blinds and let the wonderful rays shine in. I also try to take a walk daily.

#2 Take my vitamins. The sun gives our bodies lots of wonderful vitamins and energy. Because of this I make sure I don't miss my supplements.

#3 A daily dose of exercise will help warm up your body and help you to feel wonderful. Exercise is great for mental health. So in the winter when there is less sun it is even more important to get up and move.

I find that vitamin D supplements are often the best thing to do for S.A.D, the lights seem to have some benefit but vit. D is so great at mood enhancement and you get the added benefit of better immune function.

I had an ex who was affected by SAD. She hated winter. No problems for me, however. Plenty of sun here -- Haikou is a tropical island ;-) 5 *s, a favourite and Stumbled!
