Surety/Construction Bonds
A written promise to pay damages or to indemnify against losses caused by the party or parties named in the document, through nonperformance or through defalcation. Surety bonds also include fidelity bonds covering government officials and employees.
- Delaware Courts/
An agreement by an insurance or bonding company to be responsible for certain possible defaults, debts or obligations contracted for by an insured party; in essence, a policy insuring one's personal and/or financial integrity.
- Real Estate Glossary
