The Paskowitz Surfing Documentary
Another one on the Netflix instant play list. Heee. Some of the quotes: Adrian (Dorian's younger brother) as he cries: Dorian is a highly feeling instrument. Highly. Very sensitive. Very intelligent. He's like a profit. He feels these things differently than other people. I guess that's why he's so extreme, you know. He's like a receptacle for the inspiring/terrible things of living. Dorian: I wasn't the man that I should have been. A real man, like a real woman, is capable of controlling himself before he controls his children. It is easier to die when you have lived than it is to die when you haven't. From: SURFING AND HEALTH The primitive man had to fight everyday not to be hungry, and the modern man has to fight everyday to be hungry. Incase you need collaboration because you haven't seen the movie... It was as hard for the primitive man to get the food it is easy for us to get it and die from it. Other quotes: Every bone in my body wishes to one day get back to that level of health. Not meaning the absence of illness but a superior state of well being. Above and beyond simply being but being everything a human being can be so that the brain can be everything that it can be. Even a flawed family that sticks together is better than no family at all.
The Lowdown
You have to ask yourself if they had something. Did they? Really? I think they did. I think they are ahead of the rest of us, or maybe behind the rest of us. The only issues they had were fitting in with the rest of society. What maks society right? Sometimes I don't like it much.Regardless of how these children see themselves, or the injustices the feel regarding how they were raised, they appear to be some of the wisest people I have heard, felt really.
The reunion after ten years warmed my heart to the bones.
A preview
Here's a preview of the family that just facinated me to the core. If you ask me, they are all remarkable people and I would be honored to meet any of them.

- Surfer Jonathan Paskowitz has mastered life's unpredictable waves.
As a kid, he lived with his parents and eight siblings in a 24-foot camper, swapping school and society for the surf. At 18, he left his family and went pro, eventually making comic books and surfing films and teaching the sport.
