Who is Susan, and why the 52?
Known on Squidoo as Susan52, I'm a wife and a mom, a baby boomer, a writer and editor, and a busy businessperson who's still trying to figure out what she really wants to be when she grows up.
As for the 52, well, let's just say it was a very good year, especially for my mom and dad. It's also two shiny quarters and two bright pennies, which can take a girl a long way from home if she works as smart as she works hard.
This bio/lensography is about me and mine, and especially about my lenses on Squidoo. Thanks for visiting!
P.S. I am thrilled to announce that as of May 2nd I have been inducted into the elite group of Giant Squids on Squidoo! I can't believe how excited I was to get the news! I am more than honored to be included. You can meet the new Class of May 2008 Giant Squids here.

Notable Events of 1952
(Events other than the notable birth of Susan52, of course.)

God, Family, and Country First
I'm so proud of my sons!
Of all the hats I wear, Christian wife and mom are my favorite and the most important. My three guys, our two sons and their daddy, don't like me to talk about them very much, so I won't, but I will say that they all now have military backgrounds that make me especially proud. We have a Navy vet, an Army National Guard hero who is serving in Iraq for the second time (hooah!), and a now former Marine who, I am happy to report, is now a college student, living close by (oorah!).When you think about our troops, please send up an extra prayer for my guys, would you? And if you want to remember our troops in a special way, a portion of the proceeds from any purchases made from this page go to support Soldiers' Angels, who have been very good to my sons and their buddies.

Praying for Our Troops
Sometimes we need a reminder.
Susan52: Animal Lover
I'm a dog person. And a cat person.
I adore our cats, and all cats, and made this lens to salute their quirky personalities.
The dancing golden retriever in this first video reminds me of Maggie, our first dog, the one our boys grew up with. The videos of the cats are absolutely hilarious, at least to this cat lover. I like to play the first one, turn up the volume and watch my cats' reaction.
POLL: Do You Love Animals, Too?
It's hard to imagine life without a pet, and it would be hard to choose just one, one cat or one dog. I definitely love both. How about you?

My Favorite TV Shows
JAG or NCIS or CSI?
I love all three! Which is your favorite? Vote it up! (Proceeds from purchases support Soldiers' Angels.)
My Favorite Movies
I actually don't watch a whole lot of movies, but I could watch these over and over again (and I do!).
See one of your favorites? Vote it up!
Susan52: Online Shopper
The Internet is my favorite shopping destination.
Here's my latest purchase, these very fun pink dustmop slippers
Evriholder Slipper Genie Microfiber Cleaning Slippers
Amazon Price: $7.85 (as of 07/26/2008)
I love these! I'm a big fan of pink and a big fan of making housework quick and easy. With our wood floors, these fit the bill for sure.
I just slip them on and "skate" around, taking the dust with me. They're great!
Not a "pink" person? They're also available in green and plaid.
Susan52: Football Fan
Woooo, pig. Sooieee. Razorbacks!
I learned football from my kids, and now I'm as big a fan as they are. Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday, Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Ah, I couldn't ask for a better way to spend a football season weekend!
My other favorite place to shop online is eBay, the perfect place to find Razorback fan items and memorabilia.
