My favorite kind of earrings are the ones I'm going to show you right now. They are soooo easy to make and very affordable, but what I love most about them is that you can make them in all kinds of colors and designs and they always look great and a lot more expensive that they are. I promise you'll get lots of compliments on them!

The designs you can make are endless, you just have to be a little bit creative. I'm going to show you how to make basic, yet elegant silver earrings with Swarovski crystal beads and after that, you will be able to make them in endless combinations and colors.

Materials

Basically you can choose just about any material for your earrings. I like to work with silver plated parts (except for earring hooks). They cost less than sterling silver and are great for most people.
You can make these earrings from gold as well, just remember to get golden crimps, hooks and eye pins as well.

For these earrings you will need:
2 sterling silver earring hooks.
2 silver plated or sterling silver 40mm eye pins.
4 4mm Swarovski crystal beads (any color).
2 6mm Swarovski butterfly crystal beads.
8 2mm silver plates crimp beads.

You can get these part in any jewelry supply or arts and crafts store. You can also get them on eBay in the list i prepared below.

What you'll need for these earrings

eBay suppliers have an impressive crafts stores with an endless variety of jewelry making parts. The prices are usually a lot lower than in the local crafts stores and the quality is just the same if not better.

Let's get started

I'm going to guide you step by step on how to make these beautiful earring. It's very easy, so don't worry.
Before we begin. make sure that the eye pins are straight. If not, straighten them with the nose pliers.

Step 1: Inserting the beads.
Since the eye pin has a loop in the end, that will be attached in the end to the earring hook, we will assemble the earring in reverse order.
The order is -
one crimp bead
one 4mm Swarovski crystal bead
one crimp bead
one 6mm butterfly swarovski crystal bead
one crimp bead
one 4mm Swarovski crystal bead
one crimp bead

Step 2: Close the bottom of the earring
Hold the eye pin with the beads so that the loop is facing down, so the beads will not fall. Take the top crimp bead and place it at the top of the eye pin. Take the sharp nose pliers and place the beads in the smooth inner part of the pliers. Press the pliers until the bead is flat.
*If the bead is not vertical to the eye pin, simply use the sharp nose pliers in the same way on the narrow side of the crimp bead to reopen it and replace it with a new crimp bead.

Step 3: Attaching the earring hook
Take the eye pin and slightly open the loop with the round nose pliers. Insert the loop of the earring hook the the eye of the eye pin and close it with the round nose pliers.
