Who says that luxury must be expensive? Swarovski Glass is beautiful, sparkly, trendy, but not very expensive. The name says luxury, but the price says affordable. A fashon item featuring Swarovski Crystals is a perfect gift for your loved one. Swarovski is higly desirable, very attractive, and yet depending on the item, not terribly expensive.
Daniel Swarovski was born in 1862. Swarovski was an Austrian glass cutter and jeweller. Born in Bohemia he made invented a crystal cutting machine. His designs made the Swarovski crystals famous.
Swarovski Crystals can be found in shoes, jewelery, sunglasses, watches, vases and many other luxury items. A small selection of items using Swarovski Crystals can be found below.
So how can you tell genuine Swarovski from fakes? From the Swarovski website:
"Swarovski products have a visible Swarovski logo. The products manufactured between1976 and 1988 have an SC logo in block format. Products manufactured since 1988 either have an SCS logo or the Swan logo on them. Some older pieces may have very faint logos. In some cases, the logo may have been hidden behind an adhesive surface."
The Swarovski company runs a crystal-themed indoor theme park, Swarovski Kristallwelten (Crystal World) near Innsbruck, Austria.
