Sweet Potato Casserole With Pecan Topping

Like I said my favorite recipe for Sweet Potato Casserole has the pecan crunchy topping.

Pecans have always been a favorite of mine. Growing up we had Pecan trees and that made

it easy to include them in lots of our recipes like sweet potato casserole, garlic pecans,

pecan pie....but that is for another day back to the task at hand!

Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe With Crunchy Pecan Topping

My Favorite Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe

Sweet Potato Casserole -(pecan crunchy topping)

3 cups sweet potatoes,cooked & mashed
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup plain flour
2 tbsp maple syrup

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Put mashed potatoes in large mixing bowl, add sugar, eggs, vanilla,1/2 cup butter, and milk. Mix well. Pour into greased casserole dish. In separate bowl mix brown sugar, pecans, 1/3 cup butter, and flour and maple syrup until crumbly. Spread or sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350 for approximately 25-35 minutes.
