Sword Lunging Easy as 1,2,3
So everyone who is here is either mad and looking for some actual good information or someone who has never done this before. Well no matter who you are, it's important that you keep your cool.
So many people quit because they can't do a Halo sword lunge on the first try, but the truth is that it can take you several days to start doing it right. To sword lunge, you need to time everything just right. It took me about a week to do it perfect every time. Now that I can lunge perfectly, I can do almost everything I want to do in the game.

Practice Makes Perfect
Sword Lunge Practice
Ok most people who can't get it right the first few time give up. Well if you practice, you can sword lunge like a pro. You can easily practice on multiplayer levels.Try it just by yourself, not with a partner. First get a sword, rocket launcher, and two players (one not active). Then get set up in any multiplayer level. Make the two players face each other.
Then switch to an empty rocket launcher and start backing away from your opponent. Now you know that red aiming circle when you look at an enemy? Well go as far back as you can with the circle still red.
Now start practicing. Hit X,Y,B, and trigger twice and this should send you flying (called the Sword Lunge).

So now that you have practiced somewhat, try to do it with an actual partner like a friend or someone. Before You Use Sword Lunge, Try Strafing
It's an effective tactic by itself, but you can also add a little groove to it so that you can throw off your opponents. By groove, I mean that you should find a rhythm of separate moves that will throw off your opponents.
One such move could be that you strafe, crouch and then jump. It isn't something that you should do regularly, or it will lose its effectiveness, but it can really throw other people off when pulled out unexpectedly.

Jumping Can Save You in Halo Games
Jumping is a basic move that can either help you out in a situation, or get you killed, depending on when and how you use it. Since you can definitely be picked up on radar when you jump, you should never do it unless the situation actually warrants the action.
Some of the warranted situations would be during battle or when you have to reach a higher ground. Sometimes it's possible to dodge rockets and grenades by executing a jump, so it does come in handy at times.

Quick Tips for Using a Sniper in Halo
A Faster Way Reload
There are times when a fraction of a second can make you either victorious, or dead. A real time saver when using the Sniper Rifle is to get out of zoom mode quickly by tapping on the Y button twice.This is a simple move, but it can save your life if you've been made while sniping! Forget reloading while your getting shot at. Every second counts!
Also if you happen to have a sword you can try to do the sword lunge trick with the sniper. I hear that people have pulled it off before so I'm going to try it myself.
This trick can work with any gun, but since the sniper only has four bullets you might have to use this trick a little more for it.

Secret on Narrows
On narrows, there's a super secret sniper spot I came across. It's inside the level!There are actually 4 different areas to get in it - one on each corner of the level. There should be a little crack in the level where you can crouch and get in to snipe.
To do this, you will want full grenades. So first, you will walk as if you're going to the overshield or invisibility. Then stop right in front of the grav lift and turn right or left (whichever side runs off the map).
Then jump on the edge and look down at the wall. There should be a small crack that looks like you can fit in - jump in it.
Then grenade jump and crouch in the air, pointing the thumbstick at the wall. If you do this correctly, you will be inside of narrows. (It's a great sniping spot!)

Sandtrap - UNSC Aegis Fate Glitch
This isn't that easy. The invisible walls block the camera in theater mode. If you use the teleport glitch or the mongoose glitch, or even the trip mine overload glitch, your character should bypass the barrier.This is best done on Forge. Then, just go into theater mode and follow the character. Your camera should break past the barrier, too.
